Well another fine meeting with the businesses of Market Harborough was held Wednesday evening at The Angel Hotel.

The evening started at 6.30pm with everyone meeting in the bar for some light informal networking followed by the main meeting.

Members were introduced to each other officially by myself as the chair person to break the ice. We had a great turn out again with numerous new members and existing members turning up for the first time. It was a little less frantic this month with the absence of the ITN news cameras and reporters but just as well attended.

After the introductions were over Martin Hill of Bray and Bray acting in his Vice President role and Chairman of HIT committee spoke elequently about BIDS option for Market Harborough.

We then had the report on the goals we have set as a chamber for this year. the topics covered were Chrtistmas trees and lights, the carnival and floats, and finally web presence for the Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce with the inclusion on Thebestof Market Harborough which is to be reviewed by the steering group.

I then presented to the meeting how to involve local people in your business and what effect that will have on businesses long term stability and profitability.

This was followed by a question and answer session which lasted longer than I had anticipated so the presentation must have gone well.

The any other business section promted ideas from the floor for raising the profile of Market Harborough within the local area and also further afield.

The full minutes will be published in due course.
