Hints of a south American carnival came to The Angel Hotel in February when Duncan Murray Wines hosted a South American Fiesta Wine Tasting featuring wines from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
There was an eclectic playlist featuring Bossa Nova, Samba & Tango but luckily Duncan opted to keep his castanets under wraps!!
We had 8 wines paired up with some South American cuisine, courtesy of The Angel Hotel, and the evening went down a storm; even though we say it ourselves.
Highlights included Brazilian sparkling wines (Brut Rose & Vintage both made in the Traditional Method), a crisp & dry white from Brazil, quirky red wines from Chile (the Romano grape variety) & Uruguay (the Marselan grape variety) and a nice Malbec mix from Argentina.
