Local Leicestershire author Leanne Kilpatrick has kindly donated all of the royalties from the sale of her children's Christmas book 'One Night on Earth' to Rainbow's Children's Hospice.

Mother of two, Leanne, 34 who lives near Hinckley, visited Rainbow's last week. She was given a tour of the hospice and met some of the children, afterwards she commented "I wrote the book to benefit the children of Rainbows. After meeting some of them and seeing the fantastic work that Rainbows does, I know I chose the right local charity to support."

One Night On Earth: The story of Christmas; is the second in her series of six bible stories told engagingly to rhyme; the proceeds of which will be given to different children's charities.

Leanne personally signed thirty copies of her book and gave them to Rainbows for sale on their website where they were an immediate success. Sam Herrett, head of the care team at Rainbows, loved her copy: "It's so nice of Leanne to think of Rainbows when writing her book. I'm looking forward to reading it to some of the children and having a play with the sticker section."

Although there are only thirty signed copies available, Leanne's colleague Cathy Bown has organised a book signing event on 4th December at the Marston Stadium in Hinckley. Cathy is also a great supporter of Rainbows and has raised over £60,000 with one of the charities patrons, rugby player Dean Richards MBE and his team, so far this year.

Priced at £5.99 One Night On Earth: the story of Christmas can be purchased from www.rainbows.co.uk/shop. You can have your copy of the book signed by Leanne at 'The Festive Fun Xmas Lunch,' which is held at the Marston's Stadium, Leicester on 4th December.
