We have been here what must be a dozen times now since it opened, so we have seen it from the beginning.

It did have a rocky start, but the good news is they have come through that and it’s now a much better proposition and is well worth going to.

The service has improved massively, the food offering has changed over time too and it’s now a place worthy of visiting.

The original chef has moved on too, so it really is a changed place from those early days.

Last night there were four of us, all four thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service matched what was put in front of us.

The building has always been the highlight, but now they have food and service to match the surroundings.

If you were one of the earlier customers who wasn’t impressed, it maybe time to give this another chance as you’ll clearly see it’s now very very good.

My choices are the fish platter for main, but also the chicken Alfredo pasta is great for a lunchtime

What a lovely place to relax and unwind. Food was delicious, a free dessert was given to. Birthday girl. We were given free shots. We didn’t realise closing hours are three o’clock . The restaurant stayed open an hour over time as we were enjoying ourselves. Definitely return and worth a visit.

Had a lovely experience the other day at the vault and vine, came in on a Sunday so was quieter than your average Friday or Saturday night but our server Sandip made our night very comfortable and relaxed. 10/10 food especially with all the pasta dishes being homemade. Would definitely recommend to others and will be returning.

I must say, had to write a review , just had a meal with my wife and daughter, I must say we all had different starters and main meals, all were brilliant, couldn’t faulted any of them. The staff were all very friendly and efficient, didn’t have to wait long for food to come to our tables. Will certainly go again.

Visited Vault and vine on a Saturday evening in November.
Location.
The converted bank is stunning, having great kerbside appeal. This grandeur is mirrored inside, beautifully decorated, with well placed tables. The original vault door is still in use behind the var, which is an interesting feature.
Atmosphere.
The restaurant was full as we would expect. All customers seemed to be enjoying their experience, with no signs of customers trying to gain waiting staff's attention to pay or to chase up their food orders.
Food.
Our group of four had mixed reviews. The Bruschetta as a starter was overloaded with roughly chopped, not finely chopped garlic, resulting in mouthfuls of garlic at times. The prawns were presented with a small amount of rocket. When asked what the pink coloured swirl decorating my plate was, the one word reply was "decoration", I expected some sort of explanation of what I was about to eat. Three of us had pizzas, two were fine, the third lacked ingredients, having only a few pieces of tired looking ham on an undercooked pizza base. The fourth dish was Tagliolini prawns. Although tasty the portion size was small and contained only four king prawns, which does not warrant a price of £15.95.
Staff.
The staff were very busy, hard working, however seemed to lack product knowledge and basic waiting staff etiquette.
We were waved over to our table from the centre of the restaurant by our waiter, rather than meet us at the front door apologise for the delay and then seat us.
No space left to hang our damp winter coats so we had to hang them on the chairs or sit on them as we were in a booth.
Whilst eating our starters we were interrupted to ask if we would order our main courses.
In summary a great location, with hard working staff who could benefit with further waiting training. The food was hit and miss, with a confusing mixture of ingredients but reasonably priced for such a location.
This review is our opinion only. we wish the team at Vault and Vine all the best with their new venture, however we wont be returning. We will continue to use our usual Italian restaurant in Harborough, Casa Nostra.

I went with a group of five friends. The menu includes a lot of seafood, which is nice if you like that. The pizzas looked good, with some interesting topping combinations. Some of my friends had pasta, which did not look the nicest, with simple penne pasta. I had pork with sage and ham, it was nice, but very simple. It felt expensive for the quality of food, although the building is beautiful so you are probably paying for that.
