We went here on a Monday evening as it was our overnight stop. There was an offer on for a free starter or dessert which meant it was even better value for money . The service and the food we had were excellent. I had the sea bass for my main course and I couldn't fault it . I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Four of us visited at 6.45 on a Thursday evening having made a reservation. The restaurant is stunning. The service was friendly and timely. The menu has plenty of choice. We all enjoyed our meals.

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we walked in, everything felt just right. The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, and the decoration is honestly stunning 😊every detail is just wow. The food was perfect, full of authentic flavour and beautifully presented. You can really tell care goes into every dish.
Even though it was busy, the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. Nothing felt rushed, and everything ran smoothly.
Such a perfect experience overall ❤️definitely coming back again!

First time at the restaurant. The decor was pretty awful inside- horrible gaudy lighting which was a shame because it’s such a nice building. The toilets are also very much staff bank toilets.
We arrived at 7:30 but had to ask if someone could take our drinks orders as no one had by 8pm. The white wine was tepid and I had to ask for a wine cooler. There were a lot of staff but no one seemed to be really doing anything. We were sat waiting with our menus for a long time and the manager just seemed to be walking round in circles not actually doing anything.
Our starters came after I asked again (we had waited almost an hour) and they were ok. I wouldn’t recommend the calamari it was essentially over fried hoops of breadcrumbs and nothing in it.
The mains were very nice although I only had 1 prawn and 1 piece of chicken in my linguine dish. A bit stingy for a £17 bowl of pasta.
There are far too many options on the menu it’s a bit ridiculous.
I asked for some Parmesan but just got a pot of pre-grated and not fresh. The restaurant was ok but did not feel like a proper Italian restaurant. None of the staff were unpleasant but they didn’t check on our food, drinks etc.
I see the owner replies to every review on here but my complaints are similar to other people’s and I’m sure the excuses will be the same.

We had a superb meal here 2 nights ago. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and its a lovely restaurant. The cheesy garlic bread was the best we have ever had. Salmon risotto was really tasty, as was the pork saltimbocca. The helping of caramel cheesecake was huge!! We have been here a few times before, will certainly be back again.

Came here on Sunday during an overnight stay in the town & chose to eat here after browsing a few menus during the afternoon.
Must say we had a wonderful all round experience. Beautiful place & the food & service were excellent.
After some lovely home made bread, I had the pork chops & my wife had the seafood platter. Both cooked perfectly along with the fresh veg. The tiramisu that followed was fantastic & not as heavy as you get at many “chains”
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening from start to finish so it’s a big thumbs up from us

We went last night 30 th March to Vault and Vine. It was our daughter's 21 st although we didn't make this known to the staff as she would have hated the attention.
Amazing starters and we all had great dinners. Everyone had something different and all were good.
The staff were attentive but not over bearing and we had a thoroughly good evening.
We had reasonable many previous reviews and that had put us off before. So if you are reading this give them a go. I don't believe you will regret it.

Excellent everything very lovely service was just visiting the town and popped in lovely building everything was nice spicy prawns and chops to start, fish platter and tagliatelle with clams, nice desert, and washed down with a nice wine,, thank you for swapping the salmon with seabass,if we are back in town we will Pop in again,, THANKS

I have been to this restaurant twice now, once close to opening and another time recently and both times I have been disappointed with the food.
Allegedly the chef is italian, however i find this impossible to believe given the menu includes pizzas with chicken on, and even pineapple! The menu is huge, with over 110 different items, how can any chef or team expect to be able to create 110 different dishes to a high standard?
I also think the decor could be done well. It looks nice inside but in a chintzy way, and given the beautiful old features they could have created something thag feels more Italian.
I am giving this 3 stars because I think it had potential to improve if the restaurant actually take on board feedback. Shrink the menu and concentrate on doing far fewer dishes but do them well.

This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff were all excellent, very obliging and helpful. There was a very nice ambience even though the restaurant was not overly busy. The food was first class and there was a wide choice. We will certainly go back, hopefully in the near future.

Second visit to this restaurant and whilst the food and service were once again very good this time we were asked to leave before we had finished
Reason given was overbooking sorry that is not our problem and being hustled out left us negative feelings

Booked for dinner for 7 people. Food was very good and decent portion size. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Hadn't told them that it was for a birthday celebration but they must have overheard and brought birthday balloons to decorate the table. After our meal they brought over a slice of cheesecake decorated with candles and sang happy birthday. Thank you.
