We have always enjoyed the lovely pub garden and walk down to foxton locks. Today we stopped by the coffee shop, lovely home made food, great coffee, staff couldn’t do enough. Well done to the owners who clearly put a lot of hard work into making sure the village has not just a pub, but a cafe and a shop. I’m not sure how they do it all !!!

Unfortunately it wasn't open when we were near but we did speak to the land lord about getting a taxi, who was most pleasant and obliging.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in idyllic surroundings. Staff all friendly & welcoming, beer well kept and the food (one homemade pie and one half chicken) was as tasty as it was enormous and great value too. We look forward to returning soon. Thank you.

After buying some eggs and bread from a very friendly couple in the tea room we walked into the pub for a drink. As we approached the bar the bar lady’s first words were “ can you go to the other bar as i am on my own”.
No greetings or warm welcome here and it’s only Saturday lunchtime. We joined a queue of people waiting then thankfully the friendly person turned up from the tea room to help and greeted us with a warm welcome and lovely smile.
Thank heaven someone is interested in welcoming visitors.

A hidden gem with a beautiful outdoor area and tables ( although tables are sloping ) it is pure idyllic country pub , there is also a flat undercover seating area too.
The views from the garden are wonderful with a chocolate box cottage in the distance and 10 to15 mins walk to the locks ,
not a bad menu and staff are lovely.

A lovely pub garden, outdoor space. A good area outside, and a roofed area too. The pub was nice nicely modern inside with very clean loo’s! Not far from the tow path for those of us on narrow boats. Recommended.

Lovely lunch, great position & will definitely use again.
Being almost canal-side the menu is wide in choice, albeit in my opinion limited in actual main course lunches, as it tries to cater for sandwiches right through a long list of other snack/light lunch type foods through to a few main courses, but our main courses were excellent.

This little pub is absolutely stunning and the staff are so friendly, perfect stop off on a walk from Foxton locks, and a little bit less busy than the pub that's at the locks, great Guinness pour too!
