Lovely Lovely Snow

Well, I've been waiting, it feels like all winter, for this weather. At last, something that looks like real snow. As I write there is a white landscape being gently created outside. I do love it!

All the advice says don't travel unless it's absolutely necessary and stay close to home, so I thought I'd remind you of some of the delights that are on your doorstep.

If you are planning to eat out, don't trust the trains to Birmingham - you know all about trains and types of snow. Instead pop down to The Ruby or the English House.

If you're working on the house, forget the trips to the big DIY sheds where they sell all types of nothing and get down to the real local specialists like Lichfield  Tile and Stone, Britannia Bathrooms and for kitchens kitchenco and Lichfield Kitchens and Bedrooms. You'll be amazed at the choices, pleasantly surprised by the price and bowled over by the service.

Local businesses can provide so much more than the faceless chains and now is as good a time as any to discover them.

For stuff to do, check out the events page. In the upcoming events there's art, music, sport, entertainment, dance, theatre, religion, education - nothing missing really. If none of that floats your boat, well it's the right weather to close the curtains and do whatever it is you do in the privacy of your own home, and if you get a bit peckish afterwards just call The Ruby for a delivered takeaway.
