Awards Night raises £500 for local charity
An awards ceremony in Lichfield recognised the benefits of local businesses working together and raised £500 for a local charity.
Local networking group, Business First, held its first ever awards reception at Swinfen Hall Hotel on Saturday 14th January 2012.
Over 75 people, including members, business owners and guests attended the glittering black tie event, and enjoyed a bucks fizz reception and four course meal in the oak-panelled Edwardian ballroom of the restored Georgian mansion.
Businesses were nominated by members for various award categories, with winners on the evening including Culley Lifford Hall, Mary Chapman Associates, Prizm Solutions, MaximITy, Icon Exhibitions & Display, ECA Plumbing & Heating, The Best of Lichfield, Cathedral Chem-Dry, Professional Approach, Ilze Reinke Interiors, Print Design Team, BRF Carpets and Flooring, PAST Environmental Services and Marketing Angel.
A raffle on the evening raised £430 for the ‘We Love Lichfield’ fund, and Business First contributed an additional £70, providing the charity with a £500 total donation to help it keep up the good work in giving grants to the Community of Lichfield, to help voluntary groups in the area.

The Business First Awards follows another successful year for the networking group, which has passed over £419,000 of business in the last 10 months between its members.
Established in 2004, Business First is an independent, non-profit making networking group that meets in Lichfield on a weekly basis to exchange information and promote business referrals for members.
