On Tuesday 3rd September the Staffordshire Regiment Museum was delighted to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire Ian Dudson CBE and Mrs Jane Dudson, the High Sheriff of Staffordshire Susie Lillingston, representatives of the Mercian Regiment, museum staff, trustees and volunteers to a glittering presentation of a prestigious award.
A local business that made an error on postage when sending out a mailer to prospects has made a grand gesture to apologise.
At the Annual Council meeting on Tuesday 7 May 2013, Councillor David Leytham was sworn in as the new Chairman of Lichfield District Council. Councillor David Smith was sworn in as Vice Chairman. As the chairman, Councillor Leytham will represent the district at a wide range of functions across the district and region - including royal visits, community and charity events. He will also chair council meetings and work throughout the year to raise money for charity.
An exhibition entitled ‘Moving Pictures-Ending child labour in Gaza’ will be on display in the south transept of Lichfield Cathedral from 7 -18 January, and 20-25 January, 2013.
