Its here Lichfield Fuse festival starts this weekend.
As well as music on the main stage, and local acts in the Acoustic Tent, the festival has a lot more to offer local arts fans, from Art Exhibitions to workshops.
The festival starts on Friday July 8th
Thirty large pigs, decorated by members of the local community, will be appearing in locations across Lichfield throughout the Lichfield Festival, from 6 to 17 July 2011.
This summer, South Staffordshire College students, based at Rodbaston Campus, are getting the chance to gain practical experiences from Lichfield District Council’s countryside team.

This year’s Heritage Weekend will celebrate Olympics past and present. Ye Olde Games is set to take place in and around Lichfield City centre on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September.

On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July 2011 the Staffordshire Regiment Museum Whittington barracks will be re-enacting the battle of Gommecourt, 95 years after the Somme offensive.
This is a rare opportunity to see what life would have been like in battle.
