Went with my son in law who is also a vet and posed in front of my regimental badge and other photos. What an inspiring place to visit, immaculate, beautiful, full of memories and history walking around seeing the inscribed monuments, very well worth a visit. More than 5 star with a great restaurant and parking for everyone. Enjoyed the day fully.

I have visited some of the cemeteries and memorials in Holland, France and Belgium and was very impressed at how immaculate they are, my visit to the national arboretum was slightly disappointing the lawned areas are untidy just like a normal park and on the memorial wall some of the stones are going green. Was I expecting too much?

Always a place of reflection and somewhere for rememberance and thanks to those who served and lost their lives and to those still in service

The whole place has a sense of timeless memories, and a promise of the future. The still relatively young trees will one day tower over the memorials, long after I've gone, when my son is my age, wondering around these hallowed grounds.

It's wonderfully accessible, the facilities are excellent, it's all so very, very good. Take your time, and absorb the stories each memorial has to tell, along with the myriad of plaques around the place.

And....be grateful.

A lovely place to visit and remember those who have passed. There is a stickman trail. Recommend booking parking online for a discounted rate. You can pay onsite for £8 Vs £5 online. You can bring your dog on a lead to most areas and cafe has a dog friendly area.

Kids got plenty of fresh air and asked lots of questions about all the memorials. Plenty of parking too.

Really enjoyed our first visit to the Arboretum (in the sunshine!). Booked onto a buggy tour with tour guide Mick and he was brilliant - he knew so much about the memorials and made it really interesting.
Would definitely recommend the guided tour - a fee of £7.50 per person was well worth paying.

Very moving but also uplifting. The Shot at Dawn memorial is especially moving as all of the over 300 posts have the name and age of a man shot by his own side. Free to enter but car parking is charged. It's £4 if booked online or £8 a day if paid on arrival
