Set in extensive grounds, this is well worth visiting whether you have a specific memorial to see or just to wander around. I first took the land train which drives around the main areas/memorials and has an audio commentary. This helped to give an idea of the scale of the site and the location of some of the memorials I wanted to return to on foot. All the staff I encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. The place has a very tranquil atmosphere, is very thought provoking but not sombre.

A beautiful building both inside and out. Despite it being very busy with tourists it was still possible to find a quiet spot to sit and admire. The current installation of paper doves commemorating the end of WW1 is very striking. The cloisters are quite large, with one section being used as a cafe. I paid £6.50 to enter, although this is a suggested 'donation' it feels more like an entrance fee as you have to pass the ticket booth to get in. There were plenty of guides around to give information if needed.

Visited for a few hours with the dog, there is a set dog track you can follow, it runs around the edge of the grounds, so visiting some of the memorials I could not do, there is a nice quiet atmosphere here very peaceful, the staff are friendly and there is good facilities on site plus free entry, will visit again without the dog so I can see more.

The place it's self has been excellently done.
But the food was disgusting.
Either dried up or cold and tastles. At lunch time.
The only thing that was tasty was scone,s we had just before we left.
Will go back to look round but will take own food.
Not paying those prices for food we cannot eat.

The NMA is a truly wonderful place and the home of remembrance for the Nation. Although it is mainly military, there are a large number of memorials for other organisations/events/reasons including police and fire service and still birth and neonatal death.

It is fully wheel chair accessible, has a good coffee shop and large shop. The whole visitors centre was only recently built and is very good. There is also ample parking at the site.
