I visited the Arboretum for the first time yesterday for the Christmas carol concert and Will certainly go back. It took a while to get in and out of the car park as the event was very popular . Had we known there was a excellent cafe serving a range of hot food we’d have gone earlier. The Arboretum had been lit up earlier in the month but we didn’t know about it. Hopefully next year they will keep the lights on for people going to the carols by candlelight.

Incredible place and so moving. Fairly exposed so wrap up warm if it is cold and windy. Informative. I had not realised just how many conflicts this country has been involved with since the 2nd world war.

We visited while they had the arboretum lit up with various displays and it was wonderful. Really well done and each memorial was even more stunning due to the tasteful lighting. The visitors slcebter is also excellent with a well stocked cafeteria.

A very well presented place. We had a very reflective couple of hours, we visited the armed forces memorial and Royal artillery garden which were very good. We then stumbled across the Fire and rescue service garden. All in all a lovely place to come and remember.

A special event that only ran for about 10 nights but was a fantastic experience. We travelled from South Wales just for this event and it was well worth it. If they repeat the experience in 2019 it will be worth the visit.
