Some stunning memorials to all of our service men and women. The gardens and woodland are a joy to walk around. What an amazing lasting tribute to those whom we owe so much.

12 months to the day, I made a return visit - again on public transport but this time got it totally right. The weather was very cold and freezing rain forecast but my spirits were not to be dampened. I was there soon after 10am and had a good look around at the newer memorials which in a year are plentiful. A good set of photos were taken and a good walk around to places I didn't visit last time. In the end, the weather beat me and felt it pointless getting soaked however it just gives the impetus to want to return time and again.
This is the most humbling place I have ever been to and will return again and again. I will get there in the summer however was so very impressed with the amount of assistance from the dedicated bunch of volunteers who offer their knowledge free and always with a smile.
Had a warming drink and quick bite to eat and headed off home knowing that I will be back there again.

A huge thank you to all the staff and volunteers who take so much pride in what they do and how they assist the public...see you next time.

A lovely quiet place with lots of history. We went for the "Carol's at Christmas" which was a great way to start Christmas.

We visited on New Years Day. I wasn't prepared for the emotion I felt when we entered the site. The Armed Forces Memorial made me cry and I am not ashamed to admit it. The bronze figures are so life like. The volunteer on site explained the significance of the figures. All I could do was nod. We wandered round the various memorials but couldn't take them all in. This is a site that has so much love in it. It is tribute not only to the people remembered there but to the artists and everyone who have had a hand in the creation of the memorials. We will be back again and again. Everyone should visit it if only once.

Its a while since we last came, and this time its winter and it is just as moving. The armed forces memorial is now finished and is so impressive as is the visitor centre. It is free to enter and whatever else you pay for is cheap at the price as all profits go towards upkeep and additions.

Beautiful setting, good facilities but a little confusing. Quite an expansive site, with lots of memorials and can be tricky to navigate at times even with a map. Definitely worth a visit.
