Visited several times before but took the grandchildren this time. Massive site but land train is available for those of limited mobility. Mainly military memorials ( we realised just how little we knew about the sacrifices made on our behalf) but there are individual memorials. A true place of remembrance. Small parking fee but entry to arboretum is free , although donations are always welcome.

We visited to see the Christmas evening illuminations. It was quite a unique and special event. We would like to go again next year.

Amazing and emotional, a humbling experience to witness and pay tribute to those that served, died and contributed to the various campaigns and causes. Easy to navigate, plenty of signage to assist, friendly and helpful staff, could spend a whole day, and still miss lots, remember, it's a charity, and lots of volunteers, they rely on donations to maintain and improve, so give generously.

Four of us visited in July on a really hot day. It was enormous and we must have walked for hours. It covered every aspect of all the wars worldwide, nobody was forgotten even Deserters that were shot at dawn and Post Traumatic Stress victims were honoured too which was particularly moving for me. Trees had also been planted for personal bereavements. The carvings were magnificent. It is somewhere we will spend another day visiting as a very humbling and moving experience. There were two types of restaurants.
