New years day walk, thought path walks would be great for the dogs and us after all the rain. We googled national arboretum and were aware that we could not go on grass or on memorials with the dogs. Walking along the dog friendly trail our dogs on short leads so no bother. Saw the land train coming up the path so we moved out of the way down a path (which had a memorable on it) to be shouted out and the ringing of the land train bell , with the driver being very rude shouting you cant take dogs down there and theres cameras watching you! wow we moved out of the way of you!. Was aiming to eat in the cafe and give a donation but no thank you. If you don't have dogs enjoy your walk around the memorials but watch out for the mud . For dog owners make sure you only walk on the paths and don't move out of the way for the train obviously just keep walking.

Far bigger than you'd expect. A tasteful and respectful memorial to those who've served and fallen for their country.

I love the memorial arboretum. Such a beautiful setting for such poignant commemorations of the fallen. The central main memorial is such a touching gesture and the fallen soldier statue is lit through the doorway to the afterlife at 11am on the 11th if november by the sun. It is hard not to feel moved and spend time reflecting.

A beautifully presented setting with the space to reflect on the loss of the people who are remember there. Numerous, fascinating sculptures and art work each telling a story.

My visit was also a business meeting and the conference rooms are modern, spacious and have the relevant technology. Lunch was lovely too!
