I'm ex Navy and went through the Royal Navy section recently! It was nice to see a memorial to the ships and people lost! Will be going back to see more

I attended the annual Ride to the Wall for motorcyclists.
The organisation and parking arrangements were fantastic.
Lovely open spaces everywhere, from entering the foyer to The gardens themselves.
There had been a lot of rain and some area of the memorial gardens were still waterlogged, there had been the very real possibility that the ride may not have been possible.
Staff must have worked tirelessly to achieve the feat of getting us Wallers on the park.
All the memorials are respectful and I was especially grateful for the honour paid to so called ‘deserters’ we know so much more about what they experienced that finally we know it wasn’t lack of courage that drove them to leave. Thank you.

Beautifully maintained walk ways, stunning memorials for the fallen and current military personnel, honouring their sacrifices made for the good of the world. Full disabled access and several walks are even dog friendly. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable due to alot being volunteers.

A lovely, tranquil atmosphere, in a place dedicated to the Remembrance of not only the Military, but for all walks of life. As a bonus it is also a developing wildlife reserve. Good cakes too!

It is very though provoking. Great walks there. I went for the Christmas illuminations which were really good. Just need a separate queue for drinks on that event.

Visited here with a friend and our babies under 1. Best walk I’ve ever been on. Every member of staff from those on the grounds to those in the restaurant went that extra mile . Majority of grounds are paved so suitable for pushchairs which is very handy this time of year. So many beautiful and informative memorials. The place is very big yet spotlessly clean. Can tell a lot of work and passion goes into the arboretum. Can’t believe I didn’t know this existed . Lots of parking, food was lovely and very resonantly priced and lots of parent and child parking. Will definitely be returning to make a donation.

Impressed by:

Welcome from volunteers
Light and spacious facility.
Well spaced car parking - £3 per day.
Greatly appreciated
1 The talk in the Far East section at 12 noon given by an assured and confident volunteer.
2 The buggy ride at 1.30 led by a well informed and approachable volunteer.

This is a major attraction for Staffordshire and we need to revisit.

Only adverse comment is that whilst the shop had books on Spitfires there were no models or mugs for sale depicting Spitfires or Hurricanes. Is this an oversight or are they so popular?
