What a calm, peaceful well maintained place to visit.
After parking for the whole day for a nominal fee of £3 you are free to explore and roam both the extensive grounds and monuments and the indoor information centre, shop and café.
Staff, mainly volunteers, are welcoming, helpful and informative and more than willing to share stories.
Planning to visit again in Spring.

Very interesting place. If you have any relatives who have been involved ask the staff and they will direct you to the correct memorial.

Whilst you have probably seen this place on television, that doesn't prepare you for the reality. It has an excellent visitors centre with gives and staffing available and a cafeteria for lunch.

The grounds are extensive, with the many group memorial gardens arranged around the central memorial mound.

I recommend for a first visit that you take a trip on the land train to familiarise yourself with the lady out. I took the opportunity to place a memorial cross for my grandfather on the memorial to civilians killed in service during WW2.

To showdowns this place, allow a day for your visit!

Went here to visit the memorial bench placed here by family for 4 Uncle's. Something special, educational and respectful. May not seem an obvious daytrip but give it a go, it's very though provoking and beautifully done

We went on a clear cold February Day.
The train wasn't running but we were lucky enough to be driven by John on a Golf Cart.He was incredibly knowledgeable know a variety of facts.
The various memorials are truly inspirational and thought provoking.
The use of wood in the public areas ties the whole Arboretum together.
Restaurants were of a good standard with lots of choice.
Well worth a visit.
