I've recently moved to the area but visited The Cheese, Gin and Ale Barn previous to this, it was actually one of the ways my husband convinced me to move to the area! I can't praise Lou and the ladies working there enough, they make you feel at home, their knowledge of gins is amazing and they know exactly what gin I will like before I even try it! Whenever my family and friends come to visit me, a trip to The Cheese, Gin and Ale Barn is a must, sometimes I think they just come to see Lou rather than me. On a whole, the shop is amazing and my favourite shop to visit.
It’s a local community business that cares about its customers. They could make lots of money online but choose not to as they recognise the importance of talking to people and seeing people and building customers through word of mouth recommendations. They build loyalty through the great friendly service. They have a great range of products. We should have more local businesses like this!
If you like cheese, gin or ale this is the place for you. Lovely staff and unique and great products you won’t find anywhere else. A must to visit especially before Christmas

Amazing shop, beautifully designed inside with the most fantastic selection of British gin on offer. Louise is very knowledgeable, always happy to guide you and allows you to sample before buying. Would not shop anywhere else for our gins now as this is local and personal 10/10

Amazing shop with a variety of gins, alcohol and cheese. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The Christmas baubles are wonderful, I buy some every year as stocking fillers. Their display of baubles this year is incredible!

We've been customers for a number of years, and somehow it just gets better and better. Following the recent expansion, they now offer an even bigger choice of cheeses that you won't find anywhere else, a great choice of beers and spirits, jams, biscuits, chocolate etc, the list goes on & on. Friendly knowledgable staff, great prices, nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit.
every time I go to the gin cheese and ale barn it's like an Aladdins den there is so much choise. the staff are all ways friendly and helpful and have a true passion and sooooo much knowlege about what they sell. I'm all ways letting my friends know about this place as its such a hidden gem! after I leave I'm planning on when I can go back!!! thankyou for all ways being your lovely selves when I come in ladies :)

The cheese selection is vast, so many different types of cheese, some random ones too. All very tasty
The gin selection & mixers is second to none and you can ask for a sample and get different ideas of which ones to mix together. Such a varied selection of both
