We went last night to see Tony Christie. Very disappointed with the first half when we were entertained by the support act Dave Day for at least 35 minutes, then we went to the interval He was very boring and nearly sent us to sleep. Tony Christie made up for it in the second half with a fabulous performance. We had some friends in the audience who had seen Tony previously and there had been no support act, they said they would not go again if Dave is the support act.

Went with 3 friends to see Tony Christie last night (the guy still has it!) and compared to larger theatres in big cities this has a lot of pluses. Good wines, nice selection of gins and great food choices at a good price if you want to eat first. Plenty of friendly and helpful staff and easy access to stalls for any disabled visitors. Highly recommended and must use this place more!

...Oddsocks!
I love the anarchy of their production of the Tempest, it's Shakespeare but not as we know it.

The Garrick is an ideal venue for them because there's little demarcation between the stage and the audience. There is an air of informality, and having been to several productions here, it is one of my favourite theatres.

Had a fantastic time at The Garrick last night. Saw 'some guys have all the luck' for the second time at this lovely little theatre. Such an excellent tribute to Rod Stewart which had all the crowd singing along. We often visit The Garrick as the acts are quality, the staff are friendly and it dosn't seem to matter where you sit there is always a good view of the stage. Chris E & Elaine P

A fantastic show although not a great opera lover it was a really enjoyable night, only down side the catering areas were far to small for the size of the theatre,we couldn't get a table so walked into the city for a drink.

Most enjoyable performance. We chose this event because our original selection of Quill which had to be cancelled due to bad weather earlier this year. Snow, ice etc. Garrick management e mailed me to let me know and provided tickets for the Beatles. Grand show and it came with the customary welcome from the theatre staff, so thank you all.

Superbly organised, hassle free evening. We arrived around 5:30 and set up for the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful, the screen was superb and easily viewable by all. We’ll definitely be rebooking.

This is our first visit to Lichfield and we had booked online for this show knowing nothing about the theatre or the play. What a lovely gem of a theatre The Garrick is. A most enjoyable production put on by an amateur group, in the studio theatre, who were most professional in their delivery - it certainly kept you guessing until the end. The seats are more comfortable than in a lot of theatres we have visited. We enjoyed a coffee in the green room before the performance began. The car parking is nearby and is free after 6.30pm. A lovely evening out.

I witnessed perfection last night at the Litchfield cathedral. The under 19yr old performed Les Miserable. Absolute joy to watch. Amazing performance.

Fantastic theatre, not too big so have a great view wherever you sit. Nice cafe for lunch and plenty of selection at the bar. Always clean. Story with Rory on a Wednesday morning is highly recommended for toddlers.

Being of Irish descent this really appealed to me. Tickets were booked for Saturday night's performance and we arrived to find that a couple of the stars of the show were outside the front of the Garrick. One of the chaps said "I'm in that poster" and sure enough he was!

The show was absolutely fantastic - the authentic looking set and fabulous background films only adding to a wonderful atmosphere.

The energy, singing, dancing, instrument playing and brilliant narrative led to a most entertaining evening.

The only downside? Sitting in the stalls, every so often bright white lights would flood the stalls and they really hurt your eyes. Are they really necessary?

Needless to say, whilst we will definitely be back, we won't be sitting in the stalls again.

The Garrick is a beautiful small theatre offering a wide range of shows but we will most certainly be looking to see this again as it was so very well done. My only wish? That I could have taken my Dad - he'd have loved every minute of it.

What a fantastic show, it was a brilliant atmosphere from the first song. Apart from the superb music the background films and beautifully narrated stories about the Dubliners story, made it such a great show and one I would highly recommend. I will certainly be looking out for the next tour. The stage set, in a bar, made it so authentic too.

We have been to this theatre a few times and each have been excellent. Staff are really nice, very friendly. The theatre is small, but this adds to the experience as you are so close to the show. We saw Seven Drunken Nights, a Dubliner tribute and it was fantastic. If you get a chance go to the theatre, you won’t be disappointed.
