This years pantomime ticks all the boxes for me. Talk about audience participation it has the lot! We were booing & hissing, shouting 'he's behind you' at the tops of our voices. Without giving too much away you really must see Jack & the Beanstalk this season. Well done team Garrick & this years cast for producing a 'proper' good old fashioned panto!

My first visit to the Garrick. A place that puts on a full range of shows from panto, comedy, circus, jazz etc. The lift upstairs is well hidden if you are a newbie like me to the building, & also quite tiny for such a big venue. The stage is obviously bigger than it looks as the Panto props for today were quite big & all well-hidden out of sight when not in use. A lot of singing, felt more like a musical show then a show for laughs at time. They over did the promotion of the sponsors to, even devoting a whole unwanted singing section to them that was not part of the show itself. Not certain if I'm inclined to re-visit a panto after today’s show.

We go here at least three or four times a year! All the shows are great and sometimes feature celebrites! The Christmas pantomimes are definitely worth going too! And so affordable! Great food served during the interval!

Visited this theatre for the first time last night to see The Stylistics. Not a terribly big theatre but enjoyed the almost intimate feel. The acoustics were very good. Conveniently located for the railway station and Lichfield City Centre. Would not hesitate to visit again.

This theatre is rented out to groups and organisations which wish to hire the venue. from local amdram and musical societies, to brass band, single artists and pantomime, there is something to suit everyone. Prices are reasonable (not the ice creams). The stalls has more space between the rows, seats are comfortable. There is a lift and two bars. there is only one entrance/exit. Accoustics are not brilliant, and the boards are noisy when a ballet company performs, but it is a good night out at a reasonable price.

its a venue thats not really designed to be a venue. The way its all mapped out doesn't make sense, and if its a full house the bar cannot handle the number of patrons. People pre order their drinks for a show, knowing that it will be busy. I haven't heard of anything more ridiculous. I dont know what I will feel like to drink until the day, so I tried the bar, and it was just full of angry patrons trying to get served. Next time Ill go to Birmingham for a show, it will be less hassle, and the venue can actually handle people to go in before a show, without the feeling of being pushed out onto the curb.

As a last minute treat bought tickets to see Peter Pan with my grandchildren. Staff were very helpfulAs a last minute treat bought tickets to see Peter Pan with my grandchildren. Staff were very helpful from start to finish, only downside being shown to our seats when it was suggested we used a different door to the one stated on the ticket, only to find if we had used the door stated on the ticket it would have been easier. Bottles of soft drinks were expensive and they didn't have any of the ones that were displayed. None of this took away any of the excitement the children had. The performance was excellent and seats perfect for us. We were front row circle. Grandchildren aged 11, 8 and 6 loved every minute but would have liked to participate in booing at Hook or even shouting "I do, I do, I do believe in fairies". They thoroughly enjoyed it though and were quite mesmerised, with very little fidgeting. My 6 year old granddaughter loved that she met the wife of the tallest pirate, who had sat next to us and got chatting to in the interval, and she fixed her eyes on him for quite sometime. Her favourite part of the show was obviously when Peter Pan flew across the stage.
I don't think you could single out any of the actors, they were all amazing, from the lost boys to Peter Pan. Well worth the visit.

A very impressive performance.. A good selection of Phil collins and Genesis songs plus some Motown songs thrown in for added interest. I Will certainly go again to see this group again.

First visit to The Garrick and to see this tribute band.A first class show,I've seen Phil Collins, these guys provide a brilliant tribute to his music,I would certainly recommend going if you are a fan of Phil Collins, and live music.
As we left the whole band were in reception to chat and have photographs.
A great night out, they'll be back again next year.

We went to watch only fools and boyce. The room only holds 150 people and it is in a smalll theatre style, however some of the chairs move on the top row.
VArious seets on the sides have limited view, that is not displayed on the ticket.
SOunf and Video all worked perfect and the show was clear.
Bar packed before shows but service was good and prompt.
Interval drinks in the correct spot and the correct order at half time :-)
Overall a 4 out of 5.
Needs improving and polishing to compete.
Great local theatre, but thats not what the garrick is aiming for.

Saw an excellent gig performed by a Shadows tribute group in the Studio Theatre. Intimate, good sound, good value and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the band. Balanced music with songs and stories. Played for over two hours. Great value!!!!!

We visited the Garrick Theatre last Saturday to see The Full Monty. This was our first visit and not knowing the theatre or Lichfield we thought it would be nice to have a pre performance evening meal. We telephoned prior to our visit and reserved a table. We were totally disappointed. The Green Room ( the only room to eat in) was a real let down. The lay out was more like a small work's canteen and the menu fell short of anything resembling a pre evening performance dinner. It was just hopeless. Because we had arrived at the theatre early, we were able to rush out and find lovely restaurant . As for The Full Monty it was very amateurish. In all a totally disappoint evening spent at The Garrick Theatre Lichfield . Never to be repeated.

We have been going to the Garric for many years both to the studio theatre and the main theatre, they put on some really top class shows and plays done by Lichfield operatics and Lichfield players and best of all some really top performers from all over the world. There is a great bar/ cafe there so we can even pop in when we are shopping in Lichfield for a coffee we are very fortunate to have such a splendid venue for all ages.

A recent visit to the Garrick proved as enjoyable as on a previous occasion. A compact theatre it may be but our experience of choosing seats in the stalls gives very good views in comfortable surroundings. Parking is available in the multi storey adjacent to the venue and currently is free if you are attending performances with a starting time of around 7.30 p.m. or onwards. Certainly this theatre is worth consideration both from their competitive prices and varied shows on offer.

Nathan Carter appeared at The Garrick on Tuesday and it was one of the best shows we have attended....very well supported by the lovely Niamh McGlinchey [gorgeous voice AND talented songwriter] plus the entire band, they are really talented and spot-on backing for every song. Well received by all age groups, it might be OTT to describe the show as "high octane" but it really "never missed a beat" throughout the entire evening. Can't decide whether to book Birmingham Town Hall or Prince of Wales in Cannock next March when he comes back....OR BOTH!

My Mom and I came here last night to see Abba The Reunion. It was fantastic! The act was brilliant, the atmosphere was incredible. Everyone was up on their feet dancing and singing. What a great night!
The theatre itself is lovely, clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back

We recently visited to see an amateur production in the studio as opposed to the main auditorium. Both theatres offer superb seating and views. The bar areas are comfortable both on theatre nights or during the day if you wish to pop in for coffee and cake. Recommended
