The architecture, inside and out, is amazing - compares with anything in Europe. So much to see, had an exhibition of 15/16th Century maps which was also very interesting. The whole area around the Cathedral is also beautiful and very peaceful.

If you like cathedrals then this should be on your list, not a massive cathedral so wont take as long as maybe Gloucester etc but still worth a visit .
Gift shop is the usual array of religious articles and fridge magnets etc , it would be nice for places like this to support more local handmade artists and creatives and I feel this is an opportunity that is overlooked , the footfall is likely high all year round and alot of people visit the gift shop but will come away with a non purchase as there is nothing of interest, if you had handmade local makers this would increase the revenue and be a place to visit again and again .
( Yes I'm a creative haha so I see missed opportunities alot )
No cafe on actual site but a nice place across the passage/ road that we had tea and cake in

A massive Medieval Cathedral with not one, not two but three spires. OK everyone goes on about this so I guess that it is sort of a big deal.
Outside this is a hugely impressive monument and the inside does not disappoint either. Some beautiful stained glass winders, much statutory and everywhere beautiful architecture.
Located right in the little city of Lichfield and adjacent to a large pool and charming streets, there are many opportunities to capture this remarkable monument from a distance.
There is no charge for entry but don't let that stop you from making a donation to the upkeep of what must be a hugely expensive building the maintain ;)
