One of my favorite places in Lichfield that delights and inspires me every time as an architect and just a lover of beauty

What a beautiful cathedral, it makes you feel totally calm. The stained glass windows are fantastic along with the carvings that must have taken an age to sculpt.

My friend suggested we go to see the embroidery on display and how amazing it was. Visited the shop, purchased some lovely magnets bookmarks and cards.
So enjoyed, even though I probably visit every month.

Amazing building, great staff. Like many places of this kind great place to see and feel some history or just find a quiet spot and take a peaceful moment.
Although free to entre please remember many of these places need our contributions so please give at least a little, great little coffee shop around the corner in the quad.

Quite nice !
... but "begging" for donatins at the entrance might make people fell a bit in an unconfortable position.
If they want money so badly, just ask for an entrance fee - and people will know what to expect.

It was really beautiful in every way. It's definitely worth a visit, it's got gorgeous stained glass windows and the altars and ceiling were really ornate. The facade was stunning as were the grounds, we had a lovely visit and look forward to visiting again.

Very friendly staff, lots of access, but not quite as enthralling like York or Lincoln.
A big plus is Lichfields very affordable attitude to parking making the trip a better experience. £1.50 for 4 hrs parking in the long stay carpark much appreciated.

A beautiful cathedral to visit . Spectacular architecture and stained glass windows. In a lovely area of Lichfield close to two pools and lots of great shops.
At the moment you can visit a stunning exhibition which I recommend called "Threads through creation". It shows the beginning of life and the fall from grace in the garden of Eden all depicted beautifully on silk panels .
