This is a splendid location with its imposing facade where many characters are sculpted. The interior is epic with its lofty roof. The stained glass windows at the sanctuary end are impressive. This cathedral was caught up in the civil war and was restored afterwards. The spires are seen from the herb garden of Darwin's house in Lichfield.

I'm not religious but the level of detail in the architecture is heavenly. Free entree but recommend giving a donation to help keep such a beautiful building which welcomes all types of people regardless of belief. Staff were fantastically welcoming too. Made to feel like a family member going to visit a relative. A+ on all counts.

Amazing architectural achievement with outstanding level of details inside and out.

If you're visiting Lichfield, definitelly consider paying a visit. Everything is oversized, but the symmetry is everywhere and that makes it very pleasant to admire from both inside and outside. The tainted windows depict biblical stories painted in astonishingly vivid colors.

We attended both a free guided tour and Eucharist on Sunday. So welcoming. Such a change not to feel pressurized to give large amounts of money. We actually willingly made a large donation because we felt so welcome.
Fascinating history and atmosphere in this beautiful sacred place.

Wow!!! Incredible cathedral in one of the smallest cities in the UK. Lovely small town feel about the whole place.

A wonderful medieval cathedral, which I've been lucky enough to know all my life. I must comment on the one negative which is a shop at the west end of the nave. I can think of few things less appropriate within this holy place.
