Kingston Primary Care Trust are planning a lunchtime seminar, to launch the Workplace Wellbeing Charter to the local businesses.

The seminar will be held in Kingston, on Friday 18th May 2012, from 12.30 till 2.30 p.m. in the Queen Anne’s suite at the Guildhall.

Kingston is part of a London pilot of this charter, and the Rt Hon Edward Davey MP, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, will be speaking at the event, as well as Dr Jonathan Hildebrand the Joint Director of Public Health for Kingston.

The Workplace Wellbeing Charter has been used successfully in a number of parts of the country, and is an easy to use framework to support local businesses to improve the health and wellbeing of their staff.  There is strong evidence to show how having a healthy workplace can reduce sickness absence, lower staff turnover and boost productivity – this is good for employers, workers and the wider community.

Come along and join us for lunch and find out more about the Charter and local support available for your business.

There will be information on local and national initiatives to help you improve Health and Safety at work, promote healthy eating and physical activity, deal with Alcohol and Substance Misuse, and improve stress management.
