Kingston Park and ride Christmas shopping 2013

Good news for Christmas shoppers - Kingston council are laying on a park and ride service that runs over the Christmas and New Year period (between November and January).

Shoppers and commuters can park at Chessington World of Adventures (Explorer South Car Park) on the A243 Leatherhead Road and catch a non-stopping park and ride to Kingston Town Centre (Eden Street).

Buses run every 10 minutes at peak times and the journey time one way is about 20 minutes.

There is no service on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. Travelcards and Bus Passes are not valid.

This year's service runs from Saturday 16 November 2013 - Saturday 4 January 2014.

Adult fare = £2.40 (under sixteen's travel for free, but must be accompanied by an adult) a £30 season ticket can be purchased at the Kingstonfirst Information Kiosk outside the front of Kingston station or by contacting 020 8547 1221 - ambassadors@kingstonfirst.co.uk

Sundays 8:30am

Last bus from Kingston Town Centre

  • Mondays to Saturdays 9pm
  • Thursdays (late night shopping) 9pm
