Kingston wants people to come forward with ideas for how the borough could be more cycle-friendly under the Mayor of London’s Vision for Cycling.

Kingston, one of London’s Biking Boroughs, will bid for a share of the Mayor’s funds that could see new cycle routes, cycle hubs at stations, safer junctions and other improvements for cyclists and pedestrians including tree-lined green corridors.

The aim is to make our town centres as cycle-friendly as their Dutch counterparts.

Councillor Simon James, Kingston Council’s Lead Member for Transport, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity, not just for cyclists but for the whole borough."

"We want to hear from people how we can make the borough a better and safer place for cyclists.”

Kingston has one of the highest rates of cycling in London and some of the lowest accident rates for cyclists and pedestrians.
