This was such a fun wine tour! And the sparkling wine… Well, I’m not usually a big fan of sparkling wine. I love all wines, but red wine is my favorite. I usually drink sparkling wine only in mimosas. But this one? Something special!
Even when I first heard the story of how they make it, I was like, “Yeah, okay, whatever.” But then I tried it, and wow! It was truly unique. I’ve never, ever had such a flavorful sparkling wine that wasn’t sweet.
Our tour guide was… Shit, I forgot his name. I think it was John 😂 He looked like he was about to die at any moment, which somehow made him even funnier. He was absolutely hilarious and made the tour even better!

We had a brilliant time at the La Mare Wine Estate. We were treated to a really interesting and well presented tour from John who was fantastic throughout, who also let us sample some of the various wines produced on the estate.
Afterwards, we had a wander around the vineyard and then tried the afternoon tea at the on-site cafe, which was fantastic. I'd absolutely recommend anyone visiting Jersey to spend half a day visiting La Mare Wine Estate.
For anyone looking for a walk nearby, you can also visit Devil's Hole which is probably a 20ish minute walk from the estate, with some amazing views of the coast.

We arrived by bus number 7. Beautiful peaceful location. Helen was our tour guide and was friendly and knowledgeable. We booked our tickets online. The wine was good. I didn’t enjoy the film part, I prefer a face to face interaction. The setting is gorgeous to have food and drink. I loved the shop, I bought, wine, fudge, black butter, chutney, pink gin and a room diffuser. We had a few complimentary shots in the shop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It is the only vineyard in Jersey and is an unmissable venue. I love how they are adapting to the changing climate. You can also do a wine flight in the restaurant for £10.00.Spotless, modern toilets with lovely handwashing.

We had a delicious lunch here, on a gorgeous summer afternoon a few months ago, but my review relates to the shop products.
We bought a black butter chutney, relish and spread. OMG, they arr sensational. We're just about to finish our last one and are very sad about that. I can only suggest that you stock up. Buy as many as you can fit in your car or luggage!

We really enjoyed our visit and guided tour of La Mare on a recent trip to Jersey. There's only one bus to the estate from St Helier, miss it - as we did, by a minute! - and you're waiting an hour for the next.
Our tour guide was Louise, who was relaxed and informative throughout the 70 minutes we were there. You get a number of wines to taste, with the sparkling our favourite, as well as a gorgeous chocolate cup containing a little apple brandy liqueur from the estate.
We didn't have time to stay for lunch but the cafe looked very inviting, especially the freshly baked scones.

The food at the Vineyard Café was fantastic! Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and delicious, from the hearty lunches to the treats. Pairing the meal with a glass of their own locally produced estate wine amidst the vines made it even more special.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone we encountered was exceptionally friendly, polite, and welcoming. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have a great experience.

Beautiful estate, very well looked after. Great shop and lovely cafe with a good menu choice. Our wine tour and tasting was with 'Grumpy ' Bob, he was great, very informative and amusing but I'm not sure if non-Brits quite understood his humour, but we enjoyed his stories. We travelled by taxi but returned to St Helier by bus which came hourly and was easy. The actual tasting was fun, just a pity we didn't have checked bags to take a couple of bottles home; I especially liked the sparking wine which wasn't too sweet or too dry.

We visited whilst on holiday, went for the Tour and got educated by Louise, she was very friendly, extemely knowledgable about the vineyard and processes. We also stopped for lumch and a cheeky glass of wine and the service was lovely as well as the setting. Would recommend.

Brilliant fun, slightly tipsy experience. "Grumpy Bob" lives up to his name till the tour stars, so don't be put off. Informative, fun & tranquil. I recommend paying online as you save some money. Nice onsite coffee shop & restaurant. Bus runs e very hour weekdays

Excellent tour of the vinyard and winery with a knowledgeable guide. Lovely white wine, smooth red wine and a white sparkling wine which would put any champagne to shame. Nice cafe with good selection of food and drink at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

A little difficult to gert to, but well worth the effort. Staff were polite and friendly. The estate appeared to be very well-run and the products were of good quality. We took part in an organised tour with wine-tasting, which was good value and well-led by Helen.

We checked in, I had my ticket ready but they knew my booking as soon as I gave my name which was nice!
Helen who was our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the vineyard, the wines, how they're created even the barrels the wine/brandy etc are all stored in! I was impressed. The tasting hall was impressive. I liked the glass chandeliers (technically plastic but very cool nevertheless)
The tasting while watching the video was very good too and at the end a chocolate tasting cup with an apple brandy liqueur? So good I bought 2 bottles! I'd recommend going and I'd go back next time I visit Jersey!
