I organised a trip for 16 of us to Jersey for my sisters hen party. We visited La Mare for their premium wine tasting tour followed by the afternoon tea. We had a great time on the tour, very interesting and informative. The grounds were lovely and the rain managed to stay away for us! Honestly one of the best afternoon teas ever. Sandwiches were so fresh and tasty and the cakes.....wow, just wow!
They were very accommodating with some dietary requirements we had which we were very grateful for as I left it late to inform them.
Would highly recommend a visit if you get to Jersey!

Our first visit to Jersey and the tour caught our eye. I have to say it didn't disappoint! Lots of interesting information and opportunities to try the wines and the most amazing sparkling cider. We recommend the premium tour as we got to try some of the spirits. I have to recommend the apple brandy, although some of my friends preferred the apple brandy cream.
The gift shop was fantastic with lots of choice. And the Vineyard Cafe was lovely, particularly the Jersey black butter, it was amazing and we all purchased it too.
I would give the visit 10 out of 10 and definitely worth going if you've never done one! đŸ€©

Nice place to visit, modern as well as traditional. 3 ha of vineyards is quite small, nevertheless a white, a rosé and a red wine are produced. It will be interesting to see how they come along with the new grapes now planted. As of now the red is my favourite!

A delightful hour spent sampling La Mare Wine Estates produce.
Due to traffic problems we arrived a bit late for our allotted time but were still welcomed with a smile & we easily slotted into the start of the tour with the outside presentation. Our young host, a university student, was very knowledgeable & was able to answer any questions. The produce wasn't too bad either!!
I would highly recommend the premium experience tour.

We visited the estate 5 years ago and "just" had a walk around and a scone. This time we went the whole way: Premium Tour and Tasting with Afternoon Tea. It was worth every Penny and second. A great experience not only due to our guide John (the photo will not be deleted), but also the great wine and cider. The Afternoon Tea will be an absolute highlight of our second holiday here - it will be difficult to beat that anywhere in the U.K.

A joyous hour and a half with John learning about your wonderful vineyard and its products. A lovely start and finish in the restaurant. Must pick up some black butter at the airport.

A fun experience despite the weather. Freya was a great guide, with lots of interesting information about the estate and the vines. Great information about the wine making process and lots of samples to try. Easy to get to via the bus so no worries about indulging in the wines or spirits without the need to drive.

What an amazing place!
We had booked a premium tour and tasting while on holiday in Jersey. The estate is immaculate and gives a great first impression. We arrived early as we traveled on the bus so had a lovely coffee on the cafe. At our allocated time, Francesca arrived and introduced herself. She was incredibly knowledgeable and made us feel at ease. The range of goods to taste was excellent. My favourite was the brandy liqueur cream in a chocolate cup!
I would highly recommend a visit to La Mare for anyone visiting Jersey.

Caught the number 7 bus to the vineyard and back. Loved the informative tour, our guide Carol was excellent. The tasting was great as got a selection of not only wines but ciders , liquers and even some chocolate and fudge ! We also booked the afternoon tea afterwards which was very enjoyable and filling !!! We pre booked to make sure we got the tour of our choice.

Extremely interesting tour presented in delightful surroundings. The presenter was well informed and handled many questions from the group well. This was my 4th tour but still learnt lots as, just like the environment changes over time, so does the presentation.
My friends also thought it was brilliant, not at all what they were expecting and came away wanting to recommend it to many. 😃

A great establishment. It’s easy to see why it’s so highly rated on TripAdvisor. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The venue itself is extremely well-kept and situated in a beautiful location.

The tour was informative, our guide John was humorous & saw to the needs of the group well, including involving the kids where appropriate. The tour itself provides a good cross selection of their produce, covering cider, wine, their Baileys-like spirit drink and confectionery. With preserves available to sample in the shop.

The cafe was serving a selection of fresh tasty cakes & scones when we visited in the afternoon. The full “afternoon tea” looked a little on the pricey side, but the “cream tea” was quite reasonable at £7/pp, and their draft cider tastes great and is extremely competitively priced (for a bar/cafe venue).

Parking was free and easy on site. Plus, there is a bus stop opposite the entrance for those who don’t have a designated driver.

Greeted by our hosts by our first names as soon as we entered reception, which was lovely. They gave us information regarding our tour and asked us to take a seat just inside the vinyard, where we were met the lovely Bob who was witty and very endearing, he gave us a few giggles whilst imparting his knowledge and we throughly enjoyed. Would totally recommend going for the premium package as we booked the standard via a link given at our accommodation and didn't realise there was other options so were a little disappointed when we were separated from the rest of the group at a particular point of the tour would of totally paid the extra if we were given the option. The jersey cider is so refreshing and recommend a glass whilst sat in the vinyard soaking up the sun.
