The estate is lovely and we enjoyed the wine. The videos were great as part of the tour as well as the opportunity to try four different drinks. The experience was let down by the tour guide sadly. It started late, he went regularly off topic which meant we finished late (and missed our bus), the jokes attempted were poor causing awkwardness and when we had the premium drink after he refused to allow ice with the Brandy. I’m sure with other guides it would be a great experience.

Excellent and interesting tour. Visited with 2 children, one was 5 and the other was 15, and they were also well catered for. Our guide, Carol, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and clearly enjoys her job. She made the tour interesting, and I would have no hesitation in recommending the tour to my friends and family as I felt it offered really good value.

We had a lovely morning at La Mare Wine . The estate is tranquil and truly beautiful, with glorious hydrangeas, free-roaming chickens and perfectly kempt gardens. We started our visit with breakfast – I had a lovely bowl of granola which I enjoyed sitting by the vineyard in the sunshine, with a very friendly cockerel stopping by. The lady at the till in the restaurant wasn’t the warmest, but she was certainly helpful and accommodated my request for no banana in the granola 😊
The wine tasting was great and our tour guide (apologies, I forget her name but it may have been Carol!) was exemplary. Her passion for wine is contagious and she kept us entertained and laughing with her brilliant sense of humour. She was an absolute delight, and she dealt with some slightly barbed comments from one of the lads on our tour with grace. I’ve done many wine tastings and tours and I’m pleased to have added this one to the list – I would visit again without a doubt, and definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island!

A very beautiful place, especially if you choose to take a tour and do a wine tasting. The most beautiful hydrangeas I've ever seen in my life, at the parking lot in front of the entrance. There's also a restaurant where you can eat or have a glass of cider or wine. And a small shop where you can buy both beverages and that famous black butter. We enjoyed it, we recommend it!

We had two halves of our tour. The first half was wonderful with Chantel. She did a great job. Wine was beautiful. You can tell it’s made by people who really love what they do.
Unfortunately her colleague then took over, making several inappropriate and insensitive comments and swearing several times. Coming across very unprofessional. We walked away wondering how he had a job talking with customers. Definitely let down the team in our opinion. Please note, I would recommend the experience highly, had it not been for this uncomfortable experience with this certain tour guide.
