This was our third visit over several years and always find that this a better site than many other zoos. However it is staring to look tired. Many paths uneven and many enclosures need maintenance. Even if you are rewilding you need to maintain enclosures. This is a great site and we hope it will not be allowed to decline.

Interesting background and committed to supporting endangered wildlife. Although some enclosures empty and overgrown could benefit from some TLC but still worth a visit

Arrived late morning. I recommend buying tickets a day or more in advance as that is when they are cheapest. Buying online on the day is a bit more expensive, but still cheaper than buying on site.
The grounds are beautiful to walk around and a welcome bonus to seeing all the animals. Whilst a small zoo compared to other more international destinations, my wife and I still spent several hours here walking around. Our personal highlight was the aviary you could walk through to see lots of Asian birds. I loved the java sparrow when it did appear.

Near the entrance is a lovely picnic area with the resident red-breasted geese chilling and relaxing on the grass. The cafe in the entrance sells takeaway coffee in case you need a pick-me-up before beginning your tour. Just remember to wear loose/baggy clothes as the reptile area, tortoise tunnel, and butterfly area are very warm inside! And if you have time, definitely take some time to visit the on-site charity shop. Got a few bargains to take home 😄

One of the best zoos I’ve been too. Smaller zoos show that it’s not about the animals they have but how it’s done. The whole zoo is so beautiful. The prettiest zoo I’ve ever been to. Walking around alone is worth it. The enclosures here are so big. The animals have so much space. You can tell it’s not about amusement but education and conservation. The talks were also informative and educational. Would definitely recommend. It was the highlight of our holiday

I have mobility issues and was persuaded to use a mobility scooter. My travels around the zoo were stressless because of this, making the whole trip brilliant.

I love this zoo, now I do live just a 3 minute drive away, so that’s convenient but still it’s easy to spend a day out there without getting bored. There’s so many different animals that you can get really close to and there is also two restaurants to choose from, one in the entrance and the other inside the zoo which has a play area which really good for kids. There’s is also lots of exhibitions that definitely make it not the same thing again again.

The animals are amazing & the infographics for all of them are informative & eye-opening, there is so much to see.

We had a great time just wandering around & taking in all the sights & smells of the zoo, every part of it was amazing & I can't wait to go back!

We had a discount as they closed Gorilla & butterfly part. Kids would love it.

I visited Jersey Zoo a few years ago for a wedding, and honestly, it was a blast. The exhibits kept me hooked, and the animals had so much space, I half expected them to RSVP to the wedding too!

An excellent place to visit and certainly not your typical zoo. Great to see conservation as the forefront of things.

A fantastic zoo, undergoing improvements to make it even better. Looking after and preserving animals otherwise threatened in their natural environment.

The Gorillas are a favorite

It was the most 'natural' zoo I've ever visited. They kept the animals as close to their natural habitats as possible, allowing them to roam freely outside the enclosures. It's amazing how they manage this and create an experience that truly lets visitors connect with nature

What a lovely zoo to visit on a beautiful spring morning. As we went in the off season the zoo wasn't busy. Booked tickets on line £20. easy check in and very helpful member of staff told us about the talks. We headed straight to the orangutang's and then the tortoise talks.
We then ambled our way around. Not the most extensive amount of animals to see (no lions, tigers, bear, elephants etc) but what they do have is very interesting. Only let down and it was quite a big one was the gorilla enclosure was being heavily modified which meant no access to see them. The bats exhibition was also closed.
The restaurant wasn't open but like I said it was the off season. The cafe was available if required.
The zoo looks fantastically maintained and the keepers showed a deep love and respect for their animals. Conservation is their number one commitment.
All in all a nice 1.5 - 2 hours was spent.
Free Parking on site and a massive charity warehouse is there to look around in the car park.
Oh, Jersey has a big population of Red Squirrels! See pic.

Visited Jersey Zoo on holiday after last going over a decade ago. One of the best Zoo’s I’ve ever been to. You can tell it’s a conservation centre first, and zoo experience second. They put the animals first. Learning about the story of Richard Durrell was fascinating.

There are so many animals to see, and the zoo keepers are all super friendly and welcome any questions, you can tell they really love their jobs.

I used to come here as a kid purely for the fruit bats and was saddened to hear they became ill and have now transferred out, but knowing they are prioritising them over the public being able to see them is so heartwarming, there’s nothing more if want than for those endangered bats to survive.

There’s 2 cafes on site with plenty of options. There’s also a gift shop on site which has so many good options, I made sure to buy plenty of gifts (for myself) to help support the zoo.

Highly recommended to any one visiting, solo or families alike. I recommend to pre book tickets a day before you go as you can get a discount. Great day out, you can spend hours here!!

Highly recommend a visit.
