Nice little park . I thought the £8.00 for our two year old grandson cheeky , especially as there were many static sit on rides for £1.00 which actually made him the most expensive in our group.
Train ride through the dinosaur park was good but short. That's another £1.00 each. .There were two different prices for tea and coffee in the two cafe's we visited. !
I will never understand price structures. £8.00 for a senior and our daughter £13.00.. We all use the same facilities. Mr. Grumpy telling us about the chetah's. Children make a noise and there is not much you can do about that.
We enjoyed our time there. It's well laid out with a free bouncy castle and other swings , slides, and the pirate ship.

Made our first ever visit today and we were not disappointed! My husband had been given a 'Feed the Meerkats' experience for his birthday and it was everything we expected and more! Eight of us went along, all adults, and on arriving we spent an hour or so looking at the big cats before checking in for the treat. When we got to the centre we were met by a park representative who welcomed us with hot chocolate, coffee and biscuits, a t/shirt and certificate for hubby before being led off for the Meerkat encounter. Our keeper took all of us to the enclosure and allowed us to watch while hubby fed, cuddled and had meerkats jumping over him! Fantastic! We took a picnic but there were places to eat and reasonable too. Plenty to see and do for adults and children. Animals were kept in clean conditions and plenty of keepers around who I have to say were very pleasant and welcoming.
We had a great day out and are looking to go again for our daughter's 30th birthday, as she would like to shadow a keeper for the day!

Now I normally have a negative when writing reviews and this is my one for Paradise - car parking!!! The spaces are very tight and in my opinion, if you have a car bigger than a Fiesta, then you would have more than filled the gap! When you have a full car park, it is difficult to get out!

Nice little park and zoo nestle north of London. Staff friendly and kind. Exhibits nicely laid out, easy to navigate around the park. Well suited for families with young children with a good sized park area. I did like the several areas they had sectioned off for picnics, and some were covered.

Have just enjoyed a good day out at Paradise Wildlife Park. While smaller than a lot of zoos, there is plenty to see and we, as a party of 4 adults found enough to occupy ourselves for about 6 hours. The enclosures are well designed and give a good view of the animals. If you are around at feeding times, the keepers give interesting and informed commentary about the animals, and answer any questions you may have. We ate at the park and found the food to be surprisingly good and reasonably priced, although getting a table wasn't easy as it was very busy and too cold to eat outdoors. There are lots of play areas and activities aimed at children up to the age of about 10, but nothing specifically to appeal to teenagers. We saw several people undertaking "zoo Experiences" and these looked great fun, particularly feeding the meerkats who were climbing all over their amateur helpers. I would definitely consider returning to do that.

Paradise Wildlife Park is excellent for kids (3 to 10 years old), it could be a bit boring for teens, and dreadful for adults if you are not interested in animals. The adventure park area is mainly for kids, there's nothing there for teens. For adults and teens the Animal Park is quite interesting and if you are into animals you might have a nice day out. Maybe the summer is the best time to visit it as in February the staff was struggling to cope with the amount of people as not all the restaurants or stands are open.

Had a Meet The Meerkats experience on 8th February and just have to say what a wonderful experience it was. The keeper Amy was very informative and the Meerkats were just adorable. Very friendly and interested in us - also very happy to cuddle up and climb in jackets etc.

Have a feeling this experience is probably best to do when it is cold as Meerkats love being warm and think that worked in our favour!

Can highly recommend.

I was lucky enough to have a hand feeding experience with Narnia before she left to go to the Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Kent.
This in itself was amazing, but the keepers are always so helpful and answer all and any questions. I can totally and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit. With a lovely relaxing atmosphere and well thought out enclosures, well looked after animals, just makes the whole thing a joy to visit.
Well recommended.

This is without question a great place for the kids, possibly one of the best in the UK. There are plenty of things for kids to do that are free once the entry fee is paid plus a few items, such as the train, that are a nominal additional charge. The animals park caters well for kids with windows for toddlers or raised areas and the enclosures are such that the animals are always on view which means the kids can see them.

Therein however lies the problem. The provide a group of big cats an area the size of a moderately sized back garden may be in line with UK, European and World regulations but that's simply not good enough and leaves you feeling overwhelmingly sad for the poor creatures. There are other issues with the animal enclosures but it's best you either make your own mind up or, if in doubt, stay away. This said, the kids got to see all the animals and really enjoyed the visit and if this gives them an interest in wildlife that has to be a good thing.

Overall I would go again but would recommend PWP for anyone with children and would ask them to make their own mind up regarding the animals.

Myself and my husband took our 3.5 year old with help of the Groupon Vouchers otherwise it would turned into a ridiculously expensive trip out.

I agree the Animals are well fed but do feel that they would benefit from larger enclosures and perhaps things to play with, especially the Lions and Wolves, they looked so bored!

Anyway on visiting the Adventure park after the zoo part, my son naturally wanted to play on the huge digger. After climbing some very loose/narrow steps there were several hazards, there were metal gears and leavers at the back of the cab with no cushioning on the end, which I could not help imagine if more than 2 children were in there they may trip and sustains a serious injury or impalement! I think the two large diggers should be closed until these levers are made safe or completely removed!! I was also worried about the large fire engine (next to the train) and the lack of safe steps or slides which prevented children from falling quite a large drop!! Please, please be vigilant when using these items! x

Oh and more thing make sure you take a picnic!

My family and I visit regularly and have participated in several of the animal experiences including the family " Ideal Day " which will stay with me forever
The staff here are dedicated well informed and courteous to both adults and children alike
The animals are kept in the best possible conditions
We intend to continue to be regular famy visitors

My boyfriend and I saw an offer on groupon, entry for adults £8 - brilliant. Why not spend the afternoon at Paradise Wildlife Park. Although residents of Hertfordshire, Paradise is very accessible and very well signposted. On arrival, due to the fact its mid-jan, cold and on school term, car park half empty with not a soul in sight but a few zookeepers. Entrance to the parks easy & friendly welcome.
Being young adults (aged 22) we walked into the park- noticed a childrens play area, large- perfect for families. We decided the first thing we would do was play with huge Lego!
We then carried on to walk around the woodland, slushy and muddy- should have worn my wellies! We had a lot of fun with the interactive dinosaur boards which created 3D images of different types on dinosaurs that you can have your picture taken with! Even at our age we loved it!
After being outside for a while now, we popped into the nearest restaurant and purchased a hot chocolate. £1.50 each- good sized and very tasty!
After continuing to the animal park we noticed an 18-hole adventure golf. For £2 per person it was a half hour- 40 minutes well enjoyed!
After golf we walked around the park, discovering lots of different animals. We were particularly interested in the monkeys- squirrel and emperor types, however if it wasn't for us being naughty and going past a barrier we wouldn't of seen them, so advice would be to ask what restrictions you had when entering the park.
We progressed onto the penguins, just watching them when a keeper came out for a feed. Unexpectedly she began to give us a talk on the penguins, she was very loud for the both of us, because it was just us but we appreciated she didn't have to bother!
The lady in the shop, was very chatty and friendly. So overall the staff were very welcoming.
We really did enjoy our afternoon at Paradise today, we both haven't been there since we were young and were pleased to have a nice quiet afternoon, walking and enjoying eachothers company.
I would recommend for younger couples to attend during the same time of year, to avoid large groups of families/schools.
I am not sure I would have been as pleased to pay full price for my afternoon, but very much enjoyed what we did!

This zoo, although small, is a brilliant day out with a surprising amount of animals. The animals all seem very well looked after with fantastic enclosures (contrary to what other reviewers say!). The staff are all very welcoming and passionate about their jobs. If you like monkeys and big cats then this is the zoo for you!

We did the monkey afternoon tea tour, (we bought on a discount voucher) which was really informative and interesting. We enjoyed hearing all about the monkeys and the head primate keeper was really impressive, he is clearly very dedicated and knowledgeable.

The afternoon tea is good, however it is just a buffet of sandwiches and little cakes, it suited us fine but other posters seem to have expected a posh spread. We even had tea and biscuits before the tour, and we were very happy customers by the end of our visit.

Decent day out for families but I'd only ever go here with discount vouchers which are prevalent over the internet all year round...be prepared to be fleeced once you are in there...plenty for kids to do though and good selection of animals to keep kids interested...take your own food!

Me and my partner had an offer that included a stay at the Marriott Hotel in Cheshunt and then a day at Paradise Park with a guided tour of the big cats and a health check on one of the tigers.

Firstly we had a brilliant stay at the Marriott which set us up well for an early morning at Paradise Park. We arrived at 9am to be greeted by a very friendly member of staff who bought us tea and biscuits. We were then led to Safari Sam's Diner for breakfast. The information we had been provided with about the trip said that we would be given breakfast baps. We were actually allowed to choose whatever we wanted from the standard breakfast menu which included a full english breakfast. The staff at breakfast couldn't be any friendlier and kept offering us more food and drinks! Really couldn't have asked (or eaten!) any more!

We were then greeted by our guide for the morning - Ian. We were very lucky and were the only people that had booked onto the tour so we had our own private tour which meant that we could ask as many questions as we like. Ian's knowledge was absolutely brilliant and answered all questions that we had.

We then went to go and see a health check on the white tiger. I was amazed at how close we were allowed to get and how much the keepers are able to teach the tigers to monitor their health. Again, Ian was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions.

Afterour experience we were able to explore the rest of the park at our leisure. We watched the bird of prey show which was absolutely brilliant and also the red panda feed. It was great to be able to get some amazing pictures.

I really can't recommend Paradise Park enough and I can't wait to go back and visit again.

I'm only 20, and I love the £1 go karting goes with my friends my son loves dinosaurs and loved the train (£1) that goes through loads of them! We loved the nature walk and the mini playgrounds, loved the free boucyncastle and bouncy slide! Such a thoughtful set out, cafés are brilliant there is one in every section and one looking over the tigers, but we loved the cafe with the soft play area! My son is 18 months and was perfect! Amina's we're amazing could really see them we'll all active staff were SENSATIONAL! Everyone very proud of their job and into it! Love it! I got the groupon making it £8 per person but will defo pay £16 next time, apparently in summer there's a water bit so can't wait, also shop is so much cheaper than I thought! I was expecting to be extortionate but it was okay! Happy we went at this time or year because I can imagine summer is over crowded, I'd do this on a rainy or sunny day, so much to do, thank you everyone for making our day special!!

Myself, husband and two teenage children went to this park on New Year's Eve with friends, the website was down (was going to book tickets online for discount) but when mentioning this to the office we got a discount at the gate!
The weather was rainy but it didn't dampen our day, lovely to see the passion of the Zoo keepers- (Ian and Nick) really friendly and chatted away to us about the animals on many occasions throughout the day!
We loved watching the "big cats" getting fed and the talk on skunks!
We had a fantastic lunch in the roof top tiger cafe, and very reasonably priced!
The parrots talking we're a great time waster too and lots of fun!
Thank you Paradise Wildlife park, totally recommend for a great day out!

Went today to spend time feeding the wolves and what an experience. From start to finish it was amazing and the staff were so informative and friendly. They have us so much information and time to sit with the pack. Feeding time was second to none. If u want a great experience Paradise wildlife is the place to go. People do put the park down sometimes but what they do there to support the animals and what they do for wildlife conservation is fantastic
If u like wolves this is the place to go and I want to thank everyone involved today who were really very friendly and made us feel at home

We wanted to see meerkats up close, view the big cats in a big environment. We got that and plenty more fun .
When I have been to zoos in the past I end up feeling miserable about the animals, I really hate to see anything cramped- but here they have plenty of breathing space

We did the Brunch with a Tiger experience. Fantastic guided tour, the staff know the animals really well, each staff member obviously has a good relationship with each animal. Not all your typical zoo animals but still a great range, some fascinating creatures. Food and other services were good, great car parking. Spent from 9:30 (open) to 5:30 (half hour before close) in the park. On the day we went it was great weather, got to most of the talks and feedings. Well worth a visit if you're in the area or especially for one of their fantastic experiences. A great place to spend a whole day.

It was nice at the time I went there, though the downpour of the night before made the weather not that pleasant.
There were few animal cages empty as the zoo was waiting for new feline to arrive, but overall the experience has been nice.

Loved the bird section and the cage where you can enter and get small parrots flying over you.

I think I will go there again again as soon as the weather will improve.

A bit expensive to get in, but once you are in and walking around viewing all the great animals there you soon seem to forget about the price! Took some really great photos today and even managed to capture some of the new baby Red Panda. It was just a shame I couldn't get closer to some of the animals - still there is always next time!

We went to PWP on Sunday and took part in the Tickle the Tapirs encounter. We had a really good time and learnt a lot. It was really nice to go behind the scenes and see the animals up close. Our 'guide' was really good and answered all our questions. And the tapirs were lovely animals, really docile and very happy to be tickled. The zoo is quite small but it's a nice size as you don't get too tired walking round (so especially good for those with small children that can't walk as far!) There are lots of 'shows' going on so even if you walk round it quite quickly (probably an hour to hour and a half) there are still other things to see. I would definitely recommend an encounter.

Just spent all day with the family. We really loved it . Had a great day out.

had a great day out with family at this park. Staff service great, ideal place for kids as they can feed more unusual animals like zebras.
The one thing that sticks in my mind though is the poor raccoons that were pacing back and forth just like you see when the poor animal is going mad through boredom. Please do something for these seemingly forgotten animals as they must be in real distress.
