A fantastic place to visit. Has a wide variety of zoo animals including the most magnificent white lions (4 of them); jaguar; tigers; cheetah; leopard; snow leopard; wolves; meerkats and many many more. The whole park is on flat land so no hills or steep slopes for buggies or wheelchairs. Very reasonable costs - £17 for adults; £14 for children and concessions for olders; special needs and family tickets.
They have copious amounts of play areas including a Special Garden with playground equipment for disabled and special needs children/adults. All the areas, enclosures and areas are really well kept and clean. Animals all look really well looked after and the keepers are exceptionally knowledgeable both during their scheduled talks/displays and when you just stop one whilst walking around.
There are many ways to interact with the animals also as there is a petting zoo, many animals close enough to pet (like reindeer) and animal food on sale at £1 per bag.
Food and drinks are of good quality and reasonable costs less than £40 for a full hot meal including drinks for 4 adults. There is also a bar! You can also take your own picnic and there are many picnic areas to choose from.
Beware though - DO NOT purchase hot drinks from Smokin Sam's in the open area - absolutely disgusting and totally undrinkable. Instead walk a few yards to Safari Sam's or the indoor play area cafe where they serve amazing lattes, americano, hot chocolate etc.
All in a fantastic day out and we will be returning

Had a fab day out with my 7 year. We enjoyed seeing all the animals especially the Lions and Tigers, and believe it or not the snakes. There was lots to do other than seeing the animal. Taking a walk in the woods, soft ball play area, outdoor area and the little paddling pool. The restuarant sold hot and cold food. Bring your own picnics and eat in the various picnics outdoor areas. The wooden train ride was fun, cost £1 a ride which takes you around the park. There were cashpoint dotted around the park. They had a few kids shows on stage which was good. All in all it made a fun day out. Weather was just right (no rain). You are sure to have a brilliant day.

A mixed review from me really. Overall we had a good day out with our kids of 5 & 8 yrs having a great time. Lots of play attractions inc; park, bouncy castles, slides, dance show, crazy golf, ride on cars, sand & water park which were all fun. Lots of lovely picnic areas and the bird of prey show was really good.
The big cats were amazing to look at and with the high ramp we were able to get a really good view but my main criticism is just how sad and utterly bored they looked. I'm not an expert but in my opinion the enclosures were too small for such large cats. We saw them at 9:30am and again at 3pm and most had not bothered to move. Either that, or they were pacing around (the snow leopard looked really eager to escape). It does make me question if visiting these places is right or not. The penguin enclosure was the saddest of all. With a shallow, rundown pool. Nothing going in there at all. Compare this to Colchester zoos penguin enclosure where they have a deep pool with floating rocks and the penguins go crazy swimming about...complete contrast! Having said that the park was very clean and animals looked after. Just please invest more in the poor penguin pool!

Took my son to this zoo today and was pleasantly surprised the range of animals had here ,we saw the usual lions ,which were amazing as were roaring a real lion king photo opportunity tigers were great and had a nice cafe to sit in and look at them along with the brigde that goes over them .we also saw penguins ,bats a first and these do fly about in enclosure ,we saw camels ,reindeers pigs and were accompanied by chickens at our lunch ,otters ,monkeys we watched a bird show which was good lots more animals wolves etc lovely little spots to eat right near animals we also stopped near snowy leopard .nice parks ,ride train and amusements come little extra cost ,golf.very family freindly and disabled with thought at disabled toilets with poor use of arms in wheelchairs i.e left ,right handed nice little pool can splash in ,prices reasonable staff freindly ,park clean and good use car park didnt feel it was a all day trip but we were here 3 hours and did everything inc a show that a good day.

This was a nice zoo very good viewpoints got some great photos leopards ,lions ,wolfs etc camels ,bats had nice selection animals watched bird show which was ok nice and clean staff nice lots wasps however ! But can't be helped around animals I guess disabled freindly toilets with thought to use of psefic hand use only ie your strongest left hand ,right hand if in wheelchair only little moan was when wanting see wolves had climb stairs and my partner who uses a walking stick found hard did say can call member staff but a walk back to find someone ! Nice little park bits etc train climb on etc bouncy castle lil kids had lil pool could play in weather permitting wasn't enough for a whole day we did just over 3 hours inc one show and covered everything was golf and lil amusements but was extra train was pound a person bit steep tbh ! Overall a good day out very close to animals

We visited Paradise Wildlife Park after visiting their sister park in Kent. This is not a zoo, but a wildlife park with excellent opportunity to view the animals and in particular the big cats. The areas around the big cat enclosures are high level walkways allowing you to look down into the enclosure, something rarely available at other wildlife parks or zoos.
As well as big cats, there are a range of other rarer animals to see. Lovely wooded area to walk through too. Seemed to be a number of 'cheap' children's attractions which detract from the park, but walk past these and you will be rewarded with seeing some fantastic big cats. Well worth a visit!

Well after seeing on groupon the deal for £200 we decided to take the plunge and pay pwp a visit. Well we couldn't have been more surprised it's clean tidy yes fairly small but that doesn't take anything from the place, the animals look happy healthy and well looked after. We stayed in the zebra suite and it was amazing clean (good job to the cleaner) couldn't ask for a better place to sleep. For us the best bit was being able to walk round some of the park (park side) when the place had closed it was beautiful quiet and enchanting to have the honour of seeing animals in the evening. Thank you PWP we loved it!

Had fun everywhere kids loved the climbing indoors the park fun the animals the talks the feeding just about everything great day out you can spend all day there take a picnic or eat in we where two adults and two kids aged 7 and 10

Just very good, for the children and for us adults.
I like the idea that the majority of the money that I spend does not go into a greedy business, Paradise Wildlife Park puts its daily earning back into the attraction.
There are bigs cats, wolves, fox's and alot of other fluffy animals to keep you amused for a number of hours.
Also there are lots of play places......kids do have short attention spans and at least you will have a chance to let them go mad in safety!
One other thing is the outdoor splash pool, take the kids swimming stuff it it is going to be sunny.

We had an amazing day here. It is not a massive place, this is an advantage because my small children could walk the whole area - there are so many brilliant animals to see - the lions, tigers and the other big cats were great. My youngest daughter is a huge Frozen fan so she was so excited to see the reindeer. The children loved walking up high over the cats, there was so much to see. The play area is unbelievably fantastic - we didn't even get to use it all! We needed another afternoon to play on all the activities. The sand pit, pirate ship, train ride, lots of places to picnic and plenty of places to buy hot and cold food and snacks. We had a fantastic time here, we will definitely be going back.

Went here yesterday by coach in very heavy rain but that didn't spoil our day, staff were waiting for us with umbrellas to lead us to a sheltered area and tell us where we could get hot drinks and where we would find the covered play areas for children
The zoo is well run the animals look well cared for and the staff were helpful

I had never heard of this zoo so wasn't expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and the pretty amazing views throughout the zoo.
There's so much for kids to do here and a few things for us big kids.

I booked a Snooze at the Zoo experience and we couldn't have asked for more. From the minute we arrived at the discovery centre we were treated like VIPs. The staff were all so friendly and accomodating. The room was beyond our expectations (we had the Zebra room), beds were comfy, 4 tvs! a selection of DVDs, tea, coffee. They even had a selection of restaurants and directions. I'd do it again without question. The zoo is small but has lots to offer, from farm animals to white lions. Our favourites were the red pandas. The staff knew what they were talking about and had lots of talks going on. Overall enjoyed by all from age 7-41 (and a teenager to).

Took our now 2 year old son 11 year old daughter and 15 year old son!! We all had a great day. It was nice to actually get into somewhere for a reasonable price as well.
It was so hot when we went yesterday as well but drinks and food wasn't to badly priced either. We eat in SAMs cafe and the food was lovely. All the staff was very helpful.
The animals were great we saw some animals that we have never seen at any other zoo before like snow leopards white tigers and white lions. It was easy to walk around with lots of play areas, rides and attractions for all ages even on hot days don't forget your swimsuit!

Entry is quite reasonable as the zoo is quite small amd you can get around the whole place in 3 hours unless you attend the talks etc. The food is ok but they could improve on the coffee which is basically made like your in a work canteen with uht milk. A nice range of animals and play area for the kids. Worth a visit but I wouldnt travel far for this place.

We took my granddaughter today to the Paradise Wildlife Park. She's 2 years old and absolutely loved every moment of it.
We were amazed at so many animals and how clean the whole place was. We've never been before, and can't think of why we haven't!
Was 90 degrees today so we got there for when it opened at 9 30. When we left after lunch the queue was long so glad we got there for when it opened.

First visit to Paradise Wildlife Park and was very impressed. We arrived roughly 45 mins after opening and there was only a relatively short queue, even in the middle of the summer holidays.
We paid with Tesco Clubcard vouchers, meaning the visit was minimal cost.
I would say that the Park is a wonderful place for children up to about aged 7 or 8. For children up to this age, there is such a lot for them to do; climbing equipment, slides, games and playgrounds and even a pool with fountain to play in!
I was also impressed by the range of exciting animals and how easy they were to see.
There were plenty of places to eat your own food - as with any such places, the kiosks and cafes are expensive.
Overall a really good day out, especially with vouchers!

We spent the whole day and did everything.
Went on the tractor (free), saw all the animals, went on the train (£1 each), touched a snake, and had hotdogs (£3.50 each)! We even managed to catch 2 talks - both were excellent and the keepers knowledge was also excellent.
The animal enclosures are clean and well kept, Compared to other wildlife parks in my opinion they seem small.
The reason it lost a point, is that many years ago Paradise Wildlife Park was a lovely family run Park that did not have lots of rides and attractions that took the childrens attention away from the main purpose of their visit - which is the animals.

Also visit the motorbike musuem, they have some amazing stuff in there.

I had the best day here in June. Paradise Wildlife Park is a lovely place, good value for money and a great opportunity to see rare big cats like the snow tiger, leopard and white lion. So beautiful. The high walkways are the best way to see the cats in all their glory. The park is well set out and not too big, so you can go back and revisit any animals you may have missed or see the feeds. Hearing the lions roar was a great highlight and the leopard feed at the end of the day topped it off. Can't wait to revisit and kids and adults alike will love it.

We visited the park on a Sunday in the school holidays and it was very busy BUT it did not feel crowded at all. We saw all the animals and feeding times etc and were able to see everything easily. There is a good variety of animals and all looked fit, healthy and well. Some of the enclosures could do with a little updating, penguins for example, but this did not take away from the enjoyment of our day. There were plenty of picnic areas around and we easily found somewhere to sit. Tea and coffee was very reasonably priced, just £3 for a large cup of tea and coffee. I would say the park is more suited to children but we are in our 50s and had a great time. There are absolutely loads of children's play areas to keep them amused, as well as all the animals to see and a petting zoo which was fun too. Staff were all very knowledgeable and answered all questions in detail. I would definitely recommend this park for a visit, especially for those with young children, a great day out.

We had a really nice day here, myself, my Mum & my two children (aged 8 & 10).
We got here early, a little before it opened...I'm glad we did as we saw all the animals in the whole park as they were getting up & out their sleeping areas before the army of pushchairs & toddlers arrived.
I think this a good park for children up to 10 years of age, as things are close together & there's lots of other bits to do along with seeing the animals. We opted for goes on things that there was an extra charge for rather than buying anything in the shop, to be honest I saved money doing it that way!!
We loved seeing all the big cats, although it would be nicer to see them in bigger environments. I appreciate that it costs a lot to run somewhere like this & keep the public entertained, purely because of the cost of these type of animals...but if funds could be spent on enlarging enclosures I think that would be a good thing.
My two enjoyed the indoor play area, they also enjoyed some of the things like the diggers & racing cars...although they are getting to the older point of growing out of these things.
There is plenty here for younger children.
We also enjoyed the National Speedway Museum, what a little treasure. Lots & lots of bikes for any speedway enthusiast, my children, my Mum & me all liked going in here...was nice for something different.
We took a picnic, so I can't comment on food costs...although we did have ice creams, about the same cost as most attractions these days.
I thought the cost of the cake in the indoor play area was very good, especially when you consider how much you would spend in Costa or Starbucks!
I would like to say that more toilets are needed!

The trip was really fun all of the animals there looked happy and you could feed them also the entire team who helped us were really nice and helpful thank you Ellie, Eleanor, Sandra, Amy, Lucy, Katy, Mr Jingles, Thyra, also a massive thank you to Amy for helping us adopt Thrya a thanks to Sandra for having a look for some sloth related items and Lucy was very kind when it came to the gem digging and the wasps weren't really any problem at all you'd expect it at a place fillies with ice cream and I didn't see a single person get stung but still everyone there was amazing
