I am often quite wary of any 'zoo' environment but I have mainly praise for this little gem!

I had booked the red panda feeding experience for my partner and I got his birthday (who would of thought a 34 year old man would be so excited just to see them, let alone feed them!)
We met keeper Tom before being led through and he was just fantastic. Full of information and answered all our questions easily. We both work in the veterinary profession and were impressed by his knowledge. We got to hand fed the older male Teajmann who was just adorable. The female Tilly was more interested in sleeping so we didn't get to feed her, we were disappointed at all, she is a wild animal after all!

All enclosures were large and open, each specifically built so the animals can hide from view if they choose to. The otters are adorable, the wolves beautiful, and the big cats breathtaking. It's a small park but it's easy to spend a whole day as there are talks and feeds at regular intervals. All keepers were brilliant, knowledgable and approachable. Even the guy cleaning out the bat enclosure came and had a chat with us!

My only negative comment would be that the snow leopard was pacing and looking stressed BUT there were signs everywhere stating she was a new addition. And if a group of schoolchildren were screaming at you I'm sure you would find it difficult to relax!

Overall thrilled that I visited and made a contribution to their fantastic conservation efforts. Some argue that these tourist attractions are cruel but they are well researched and necessary to prevent the extinction of some of the most beautiful animals in the world.

I've been a couple of times in the last 5 months, and both times had a wonderful time, despite the weather on the last occasion. PWP is one of my favourite wildlife parks to visit. It's fairly compact, so I don't have to walk miles and miles, yet it has a really good variety of animals, and despite what a few people have said, I think their enclosures are mostly of a very good size, especially the big cat enclosures. As a lover of big cats, this is one of the best places to see a really big variety of them, especially due to their ties with the World Heritage Foundation. On my last visit, I particularly enjoyed seeing the pair of Jaguars together on the same platform. I felt really privileged to watch them grooming each other and being affectionate - a good sign for the future when they are old enough to breed, I hope.

As always the Red Pandas are a delight. When I visited a few months ago, the cubs were absolutely gorgeous. They have now moved on to new homes, but Tilly (the mum) was enjoying being fed this time. I also found the Meerkat heating itself up under a heat lamp very amusing - and how thoughtful of the Park to provide this facility. I also enjoyed seeing a pair of wolves sharing a platform, looking very alert and perfectly happy.

It was also very interesting watching Tahnee the Cheetah undergoing training from the keepers. This is not to provide amusement, but has a very serious purpose. It allows the keepers to perform medical checks etc on the animals without having to sedate them or cause them any kind of stress - how great is that!? Again, I felt very privileged to see this.

Despite it being autumn, the Park was very clean and tidy. As always, the keepers are very friendly and informative and I always feel that I've learnt something new every time I come here. I see from the website that there are some animals that I haven't seen yet, but would like to. Oh dear, what a shame - I will just have to visit again ;))). I can't wait!

Really enjoyed it here. Lots to do and see. The wild cats were amazing! The only negative is that buying food and drinks at the park are overly priced.

Took my friend on the Feed the Red Panda experience, had a brilliant time friendly knowledgeable staff, even taking photographs whilst we were feeding the pandas. Although it was a 220 mile round trip we both felt it was worth it.

Just returned from a wonderful trip to the zoo. This was our first trip and we had a fantastic time. The park is set out very clearly and the animals are easy to find and its surprising how close you can get to them. Although it was a bit chilly all the animals came out to say hi. I've been to more famous zoos and I must say this was one of my favourites because of its intimate nature. We will be returning again and would recommend it to all our friends and family.

I had a fantastic time at Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday as part of a Red Letter Day experience, Our choice was having brunch with the tigers. The keeper who guided us around the park was so informative and answered all our questions and we came away having fun and learning something new. I thoroughly recommend this as a place to visit and spend your day. If you are stuck for a gift to get that special someone, how about a Red Letter Day experience at this park, you'll be glad you did especially if they love animals

My family and I (Wife and Kids aged 6 and 3) had a great day out at the park on a cold Sunday in November.

The trip was discounted via 2 for 1 tickets from the local newspaper and Tesco clubcard vouchers (Wife and I paid individually for max discount).

The park is laid out well with decent size enclosures but with a feel that you have not been walking for miles and miles. The viewing points for seeing the animals are good and some are elevated so that you can look down on them too which is great. The talks by the keepers are great and informative. The is also and indoor softplay onsite which is also good to give the kids a break from the cold weather. Car park has plenty of space too.

A great dayout and the kids loved it which is all that counts.

(ADOPT! ADOPT! ADOPT!) We could not ask for a better day. Even the small patches of drizzle and cooler weather could not dampen the fun we had yesterday at the park. The animals were out and visible for all to see and clearly look well tended to. The staff were excellent as always. Katy Longley at Kiosk 5 was exceptional as before and really looked after us. I was beginning to think that she had mistaken us for celebrities. As my son is an adoptive sloth parent, Katy had organised the day for us to make the most of it. Glen the Sloth guardian looked out for us and allowed us the opportunity of meeting the sloth pair in their cages. I can’t convey well enough how much fun that was. To actually get up close enough to stroke one is amazing. Glen let us have a long visit with them and take many pictures and video. But the surprise guest was the lovely Dr Mambo the Armadillo. What a fun and playful character! He even wanted us to hold him. A truly amazing day. Sandra Gilbert of the Gift Shop was once again lovely (and is a Fire Marshall since 2013!). What a welcoming and friendly crew to an excellent venue. If you have not been yet, make sure you do! Even if the weather is colder than you like, make sure you go and let your children have some fun. You won’t regret it! (A fun part of the day was talking at cross-purposes with the man that was manning the fostering and adoption stand. I told him that we already had adopted a sloth and this really confused him as he was talking about adopting children. He seemed to think that we had adopted a child called “Dame Thyra”. Might want to put him in another location?)

We visited on Friday 13th November (our 40th wedding anniversary) the weather had just turned very cold so the park wasn't very busy which was great for us as we wanted to take pictures of the animals. All the animals were clean and well looked after. Their cages and enclosures were spotless. The staff and keepers were all so helpful and welcoming and all seemed to be having such a good time. I cannot wait to go back. Now I have ready more about the park on the website I am most impressed at what they have achieved.

My wife did facepainting there for several years, so we visited many times. Apart from the large collection of interesting animals, birds, and reptiles, there are many other activities for children, such as train ride through the woods, slides, playground, climbing frames, etc.
The park specialise in breeding endangered animal species, such as lemurs, snow leopards, and others. They have an excellent collection of big cats, as well as wolves, penguins, tigers, lions, cheetahs, camels, and many others.
Certainly worth a whole day or more!

this is a small but progressive zoo. I have been several times before over a few years and it is really doing some good work now. They are building better areas for the animals and getting involved in conservation etc. There are lots of picnic areas and places to purchase refreshments.
There is a large play area that the kids and parents can run off some energy if there is any spare.
You will be there all day. There is quiet a bit of walking and it is disabled friendly.
They have activity days too which must be booked in advance. We have encountered some of those.
I love when you get the chance to chat to their keepers and really get to know the animals.

Visited the park in order the partake in the "Meet the Meerkats" experience. The experience itself was fantastic. The meerkats were very friendly and sociable with us, and Jonny, one of the keepers, was brilliantly informative about them and, rather randomly, the dietary quirks of polar bears.

The park was very nice and quiet and the other staff giving talks on the cheetah and the birds were fantastic.

Will definitely back and would certainly recommend!

Over the years, we've visited this zoo several times - with our children and now our grandchildren. There's so much to see and do, and it improves every time.

Car parking on site is always easy, although it pays to go early to be sure of getting a space (as well as being able to see the animals better before it gets busy). Almost everywhere is on the flat too, so it's ideal for little children, for buggies and for us oldies, with or without wheelchairs.

The animals are closer than you'll find in most other zoos and the explanatory signs are easily understood by the younger generation.

We'd recommend taking a picnic. There are places to sit and eat it - and you'll save a lot of money if it's a family visit because meals in the found outlets here are expensive.

Where do I start ?
Visited here yesterday , I had heard good things about this place before going and wasn't disappointed .
London zoo is not in this league !

Firstly you get close to the animals .... Very close .
Secondly it's very well priced indeed compared to London Zoo .
Thirdly it's much better for kids than any other zoos I've visited .

If you are thinking of going here my advice is absolutely do so !

I will be back again .

My son has just taken up photography. So we went to take pictures of animals. What a lovely place, cheap to get in. Not to big to walk round, plenty to see, we will go again and take some friends, nice place for a picnic. The sort of place you could go on a Sunday afternoon for a lovely walk.

I booked a Red Panda experience for two of my daughters. When we arrived, the zoo still had ten minutes to open, although the park area and woodland walk were open. We enjoyed these facilities and at the appointed time went to the meeting place for the experience. This was a great success and enjoyed by all!
The zoo was fantastic! Flat so easy to walk around. Plenty of beautifully kept enclosures with lots to keep the animals happy. The zoo is a great place for all the family, It has lots of different things like:
Different types of animals, a little farm, parks, walks and even a play park just for children with special needs!
Although we came in a car, if you come on a train, the zoo will arrange transport to pick you up and take you back to the station.
We spent about 3 and a half hours there but could of easily spent much more!
Overall, this was a GREAT day and I would recommend it for anyone with children or family of any age!
Thank you Paradise Wildlife Park for the wonderful day and I hope to come again very soon!

This Family run conservation/safari park is a wonderful place to take the children. Its run by a lovely, friendly family. They and the staff couldn't make you feel more welcome.
Everyone was lovely. From John, taking the photo's of the face painting to Callam, our very knowledgable tour guide.
There are many beautiful animals here but our favourites were the white Lion and Lionesses.
They park was decorated for Halloween. There was a treasure hunt for the children, with sweets as prizes and the main prize, to stay over night in the Zebra Lodge.
With plenty of events scheduled throughout the year, we cannot wait to visit again.

It's no secret that this is my happy place. This time the minibus to and from the train station brand new and very comfortable with friendly drivers. I always get there for opening because its so peaceful at the beginning of the day and you can sometimes interact more with the animals, this time Baikal the white tiger came over from the other side of the enclosure when I called him and rewarded me with a chuff, Ethan one of the gibbons swung to the window and played hide and seek with me, and Moto the beautiful white lion laid close to where I stood and looked me in the eye, it is amazing how close you can get to these amazing animals which are healthy, well looked after and respected! PWP does amazing conservation work and one of the things people can do to help is to buy from the friends of paradise wildlife park stall located just outside the red panda enclosure, run by voluenteers it has some lovely bits and bobs which can serve as a reminder of your day at reasonable costs, all money goes straight back to the animals either at paradise or through the conservation work. The animal antics show was sweet and educational and the birds of prey show brilliant, wonderful to see such lovely birds In flight! They had made a real effort to spookyfy the park for Halloween half term, it is simply a wonderful place for everyone young and old, so what are you waiting for, get yourself to the zoo :)

Such a wonderful family day out.

We got here just at opening, parking was plentiful and easy! Short entrance line and we were given a map and animal mask for our child!

As we arrived at opening the animal park was empty even though it was half term! Tip - arrive early!

We then ventured to the play area and this was great, my daughter loves the pirate ship and slides! We also went on the train ride twice!

There are lots of areas to sit for lunch! We didn't have a problem finding a table.

The woodland walk was a nice end to our day trip!

There was plenty more we didn't get to do as my daughter was pretty tired after all the excitement! She's only 2 1/2!

Well, I was lucky enough to visit and stay on site in one of the apartments which were first class. Modern, well decorated, luxury duvets - I really could not fault anything and would highly recommend the experience.
The staff and knowledge and obvious dedication from the family who own and run the park is second to none.
If you have children they will absolutely love this place
If you have no children it is a great day out for adults
If you are in business and want a superb place to entertain clients then check out their corporate events!

Had a lot of fun here today. The large animals are lept in large enclosures and appear to have room to move around in and lots of environmental enrichment to stop them getting bored. Two of our party had a meerkat experience where they got to hold, feed and interact with the animals. There are lots of areas with activities for younger children. Food seemed a little pricey (£3.90 for a hot dog for example) so would recommend taking a picnic. Would be happy to go again.

excellent place to go for all ages! we took our neice and nephew 3 and 5 year old and there was a lot to see and do! my only gripe is that after paying nearly £60 to get in, a lot of the attractions then cost even more and all being a £1 each to go on.

Took my young son for the day and he loved it.

The main animals are big cats such as cheetahs, lions and tigers. It felt as if you get much closer than you do at other places with big cats such as London Zoo. Which was great!

There are also fun activities for kids such as bouncy castles, sand pit, big slides and other play areas. These were all great fun and included in the entry fee. There is also a mini train that takes you round the wolves nature walk for a pound, which was great for younger children.

The food in offer in the cafe is better than you might expect for somwhere like this but wasn't cheap.
