Lovely place, smaller than expected !! Best place if you love big cats !! Great design so you can see the cats if they are up high with the walkways. We didn't eat there as we took our own picnic , but the prices seemed reasonable ( unlike some places) the gift shop is rather lacking !! I hope it's just because of the end of the season, rather than being normal. Toilets not great , they really need some tlc , throughout the day. Otherwise it would have been full points. We had 2 disabled people with us , so 4 tickets only cost us £36. We have a blue badge so parking was free. I wouldn't be happy if I paid full price for tickets and then had to pay for parking ???

I thoroughly enjoy visiting paradise wildlife park. We started our visit by walking around the back of the woodland train, which having spoken to one of the keepers previously, many people forget or don't realise is there, where we saw wolves, foxes and deers. The woodland was nice and the my niece and nephew enjoyed the walk and looking out for the dinosaurs (there is an option to do augmented reality too but I hadn't got much charge left so we didn't try this).

We then carried on over to the zoo. We bought two (cheap) bags of feed and visited the farmyard, where the children could feed pigs, goats and rabbits etc. We then went round to look at the big cats and enjoyed seeing white lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards etc. I thought the range of big cats they had were good for a smaller sized zoo.

The zoo is currently having work done to it so we couldn't see everything but in the past we have enjoyed seeing the wallabies (which are having their enclosure turned into a walk through enclosure I believe) and the Penguins. We spent some time watching the meerkats then walked through to the jungle area to look at the smaller primates and then walked around the hoofed creatures.

We enjoyed the reptile house and talk given there - just be prepared that it gets quite warm there. Overall, the keepers seemed very knowledgable, friendly and passionate about what they were doing.

The kids loved feeding the parakeets (for a small cost) which come down and drink nectar from little cups. Previously, we have also spent time in the soft play area, which is one of the nicest ones we have visited in a zoo.

We forgot to visit the bat house but I will come back to do that.

It is much bigger than Shepreth zoo, which is one of our nearest zoos but you have to remember that as a smaller zoo, they won't have elephants and giraffes as it wouldn't be fair to keep them without much roaming space. However we happily spent a long day there and didn't run out of things to do.

We do always take a picnic though as I think the food is fairly expensive, especially for the quality, but there is an ice cream stand so we had that after our lunch.

I attach a photo from the time we visited previously.

So much to see and do and you can keep the kids entertained all day. We took our 2 year old son and he love every minute of it. Some bits look a bit dated but there was work to improve certain areas.

Food and drink throughout but I would recommend taking a packed lunch of snacks as the food is quite pricy. Overall a great day out and will definitely go back.

My daughter loves loves loves all the 'big cats' so for her 18th we decided to get her 'Feed a big cat' experience. We decided on the Snow Leopards and Champagne Breakfast for her and her partner. We are so glad we did this as it was brilliant. We arrived at 8.30 am to be given a much appreciated cup of coffee (September cold morning!) and their keeper Aaron took them around all the big cat enclosures telling them all about the animals & the history of the zoo etc, he was a very knowledge chap! As it was early morning, quiet and the animals were waiting for brekkie they were all outside so you can get right up close to them all. Then they got to the Snow Leopards and got to feed them out of their hands. It was fantastic. As the zoo opening hours were 10.30 they pretty much got to wander round with the zoo to themselves. Their Champagne breakfast was lovely. Situated in the tree tops, a private function room over looking the Tigers, they had a bottle of Champagne between them, cereal, toast, pastries, cold meats, cheeses etc, fruit juices. You name it, it was there. They had as much time as they needed. Then had the whole day to wander round the zoo again.
The zoo itself was clean, all animals looked fit & heathy and all staff were friendly, said 'hello' whenever you passed one of them. The restaurant was your usual stuff ( bit pricey but where isn't these days) Some of the enclosures were being refurbed so didn't get to see a couple of things but didn't spoil the day.
If traveling by car it's £2.50 or £3.00 parking. ( can't remember which amount)
All in all, great day, fab experience. Feeding the Snow Leopards is something, I think, you will never forget, highly recommend it.
Again, big shout out to Aaron who knows his stuff and was a joy to have showing them around. Thanks Aaron!

Positives- we had a really fun time as the play areas are good and we really enjoyed seeing the animals.

Negatives- I thought the food was over priced and really poor quality.
I ordered a kiddie lunch box. £5.10 or £6.10 if you upgrade to a slush puppie. Contents of box:
- half a sandwich made on cheap bread
- the world's smallest bruised apple
- a packet of Aldi hoop crisps
- an Aldi chocolate lolly pop
- a carton of drink

I was disappointed as when it said it came with a sandwich / fruit / crisps and chocolate, I thought for £5.10 I might get a full sandwich, a 'normal' packet of crisp and a 'normal' branded chocolate bar - not Aldi own multi pack buys.

I took the apple back (a tiny apple that was pappy, bruised and had little worm marks all over it) and said I thought the whole thing was pretty poor. The girl serving was quite rude and said
- 'the apple looks OK to me'. Well, clearly it wasn't as that is why I'm bringing it back
- 'you knew what you were buying before you bought it'. No, I assumed I was going to get good quality food, not half a sandwich, a tiny off apple and Aldi own brand multi pack crisps and chocolate.

So, then the food manager came to talk to me and he was friendly but very sure of his position that it was great value. Apparently Aldi is a brand, it sponsored the Olympics so we should all love it and because it is local, they are supporting the local area by shopping there.

1. When Aldi make their own crisps like Tesco or any of the other big supermarkets, this is private label, not a brand as consumers understand it. A brand is Walkers or similar and for the money I was paying that is what I expected.

2. When a company such as Paradise Wildlife Park say they are supporting local business, people would assume that they mean they are supporting local independent shops and producers. Not a multi national like Aldi that is head quartered in Germany. Trying to argue that you are 'being local' by shopping in Aldi is a stretch.

3. Telling me over and over again that it is good value because you think it is isn't an argument. Obviously I don't agree as that is why I'm complaining.

Anyway ... He then got me two replacement apples which were delicious!

I totally understand that places need to make margin on food. However I think there is a limit at which that flips to ripping people off and in this case I feel that line was crossed.

Great day out tho! Will be back - with a packed lunch!!!

I have taken my little one here a couple of times as he loves the animals and it the most local zoo. Very pricy to get in for how big the actual zoo part is. Great park and play areas but would be better if the zoo area was bigger. Worth a visit.

We booked a "Snooze at the Zoo" through a charity auction. It was fantastic. VIP access to the park for 2 days. Friendly welcome from the staff. The Zebra suite was great, with 2 boys we had everything we needed. Waking up to hear the lions' roar was something you don't forget. Then having breakfast overlooking their enclosure! No evening meal was available, this was not a problem for us, we went out into the town and had a meal. Walking around parts of the park when everyone (well nearly) had gone home was magical. On site there is also a speedway museum which was well set out and very interesting. Again the staff/volunteers were all very friendly and informative. If I'm honest I wasn't sure what to expect when my husband booked this, but I am so glad he did it was all truly fantastic.

Glad I took the advice of fellow TripAdvisor's and took the family here.

What a lovely zoo!!

Bring a picnic, food offered isn't that great. There are lots of places to sit and relax specially when the weather is nice.

Lots of great animals to see from different perspectives and closer than most zoos I have been to.

Some places where being refurbished so didn't get to see the likes of the penguins and was slightly disappointed in not seeing any chimpanzees as they quite entertaining.

Excellent selection of big cats, all out in clean spaces. The talks were informative however did start later then timetabled on most occasions.

Lots to do for kids, included in the ticket price. Bouncing castles, slides, playgrounds, outdoor pool, soft play area, sand pit etc.

Good value for money, friendly staff, well kept zoo, lots of animals

Only other negative I can think of is having to pay for parking seeing as it's middle of nowhere and getting there by car is the only way. Might aswel just include it in the ticket price.

I took my wife to Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday for a Feed the Red Pandas experience and we had a great time. Feeding the cute Red Pandas was a great experience and the day as a whole was great. The bird shows were good and about the right length plus I was able to get some great photos!

The park has a wide variety of animals on show including plenty of birds which is good as my wife likes birds of prey. The Woodland Walk area seemed a little bare though and seems to be a misuse of space if you ask me but, hey, I'm no expert.

There were one or two bad points, I think it's cheeky that you now have to pay for the car park and the cafe is overpriced, although it was exactly the same the last time we went. Lunch for two almost cost £25!

We came after school the park says it's open till 6pm yet they start to close everything at 5.30 yet the park says closes at 6 so it should close at 6 there were other disappointed children as well

I took to boys around 10-12 years old and they was bored after minutes.
The Lion is beautiful. I don't like how you have to pay for everything once in too.
It isn't very cheap to get in and then they have go karts (I think) of which you have to pay for and they are just inside the gate. Then you have to pay extra for crazy golf too.
Food expensive for what it is better to take a packed lunch.

My friend was given a Virgin experience day so chose the Meerkats. My daughter and myself went along with her for this fabulous day. The park is amazing, so many gorgeous animals. We walked for miles to see everything. The cheetahs, the lions are gorgeous and seemed happy in their environment. My friend also interacted with the Emu's. Buy a bag of food on the way in, book tickets on line (cheaper) and take a picnic. My friend went into the Meerkat pen with a keeper and plate of food and they were all over her, it was a really great day out. I should mention there is a kids paddling pool and lots of things to so for the little ones.

Had a fantastic day here with the family, booked the shadow a keeper for my two daughters and feed the red pandas for my wife. From the moment we stepped into the park we were made to feel welcome and everyone we met were very friendly.
The weather was very poor the day we went but it was a measure of the park that we still had a great time and it never distracted from the enjoyment.
My daughters were well looked after by the different keepers, each responsible for different areas of the park, they helped feed the lemurs, feed the red pandas, tickled the tapirs, helped fly an owl and many other experiences.
We ate at the Safari Sam's which to be honest I wasn't looking forward too after reading the some of the reviews on here saying the food was expensive and not very nice, well this couldn't have been further from the truth as far as I was concern the food I thought was very reasonable priced. The portions were huge and the food was very tasty with nothing left on the plates we when we left.
I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone, and would be a regular visitor myself if it was a 3 hour drive away.
Thank you to all the staff for making the effort to make our day such a memorable one.

Have been to the park before and it is lovely however this time was very disappointed to be hit with a £3 parking charge. Never been anywhere where you pay to get I and then have to pay to park. Real shame

We visited a couple of weeks ago on a very rainy Sunday but that didn't dampen our spirits as this was a fabulous day out. The aminals are wonderful, great variety and there are so many other things to do. Well worth a visit, we are coming back to do the overnight stay!

Visited Paradise Park last weekend, and had a fabulous time.
The animals were wonderful, all very well cared for.
It very easy to get around, and importantly its very flat.
Ideal for people in wheelchairs, although they would not be able to climb the
steps for the walkway to view some of the big cats, there are plenty of area on
the ground for them to see the tigers, lions, etc, and also glass viewing areas as well.
Plenty of places to eat and drink on site, and a great area for the kids to enjoy.
Price also very reasonable, I paid £15 for a senior and I was there 7 hours.
The only thing that they now charge on is the car parking, which is £3 for your visit, for how ever long you you there.
If the weather was bad you could still get round to see most of the animals, and there
are sheltered areas to get out of the worst of the weather.
The thing I loved most was that if the big cats were in their indoor/night enclosure you
can walk through and see them inside, which is really great.

Amazing animal encounter experiences on offer at PWP. We fed the adult tigers with our bare hands! So many different ones to choose from and totally worth the money. Otherwise the park is very well set out for being able to clearly see all the animals which are obviously well and professionally looked after. Plenty of cafes and food stations to eat and drink at and well placed toilets throughout the park. A great day out :)

When booking this I had read a lot of people found it expensive so I went online and found tickets cheaper, when we first arrived we found out that they is a parking charge which we didn't mind paying but we said it would have been better to just state it on the website, the park is split over two areas one side more play area and the other animals, we had only mainly gone for the white tigers and lions which my children hadn't been disappointed by, the place seemed clean and tidy and staff friendly, we did take a pack lunch as the food did seem a little pricey and they is plenty of places to eat a packed lunch they is also placed under cover, some of the kids play toys and games you do pay extra for. We really enjoyed our time we spent there.

If you have pre teen children they will love this place, a little difficult to find off the A10 but well worth following the signs and has a range of entertainments for the children. There are eating facilities as well as the usual gift shops

A very lovely day out, even if you are not visiting for an animal experience. My husband and I had a Meerkat experience and it was incredible. I booked the experience, as a surprise for my husband. My husband is in a wheelchair and I was looking for a while at different animal parks, for an experience that would be suitable for wheelchair users. This place definitely was. I corresponded with the Paradise Wildlife Park team via email and they were extremely helpful, regarding my husbands needs. The keeper who took us into the enclosure was lovely, polite and informative. I would definitely go here again! A wonderful day out, that has created great memories.

It is a nice place but it is not a Zoo so animals are limited. Loads of new buildings going up which meant some areas were not open. The overhead walkways were excellent and meant you can see some of the animals from above. The Bird display was very good and very interesting. There needs to be better signage pointing to areas and for animal feeding time times. They are there but not very good. Food and drinks are expensive and variable from area to area. Take a picnic, plenty of areas for sitting down and toilets. Liked the hand cleaning facilities available after touching some animals. Brand new car park opposite the Wildlife park and you are charged £3. You need a car to get here. Most of the staff are very friendly. The Shop is ok but nothing exciting about it. Would I go there again...............?
