We had just returned from a stay at the big cat sanctuary which was fantastic and found our about Paridise wildlife park. As we had done feed the lions and tigers at big cat we did feed the wolves. It was lovely and the guide was lovely. Although I think they should have given plastic gloves like big cat sanctuary as the smell of sardines lingered all the way home even after several washes!!
Rest of park was nice did some of the talks very good.
We stayed in one of the arpartments overnight. It was not the one pictured on website, small and hot with noisy fan in bedroom, although it was modern and clean. Would have liked the larger one. Still enjoyed the experience.

Good day out. Good value for money when using Tesco vouchers. The viewing areas where amazing. Really good for younger children. Worth a visit.

I bought my dad a "shadow a zookeeper " experience for christmas which he just recently booked and used.
He absolutely loved his day at the park, seeing all the different sections and getting to feed and handle various animals.
Hospitality from everyone was first class and the whole day went smoothly and enjoyably despite some bad weather!
Highlight of the day for him was his time with the reptile keeper Reece who not only was extremely polite and welcoming but massively knowledgeable on all the different reptiles at the park as well as just clearly having a passion for what he's doing, an asset to the zoo!
Thank you all at Paradise for giving my dad a day to remember! We all can't wait to visit again and see all the updated enclosures.

Breakfast with the big cats - what an incredible experience. A Massive hats off to Aaron our guide, font of all 'Big Cat knowledge, passionate and enthusiastic......arrived before most of the staff I think, with each and everyone one of them taking the time to greet us and making us feel very welcome.....I can't wait to book my next trip, spoilt for choice so might have to work our way through the list if experiences.......thank you.

This was a great wildlife park with a good array of big cats, the highlight was seeing the lions being fed. There are also a number of online vouchers offering good discounts on the entrance fee. It was nice to see the wolf who was very tame and in a good size enclosure. There was some construction work going on we were unable to see the penguins but hopefully all this work will make the animals more comfortable which is the main importance. Good day out for all.

As a frequenter of Chester Zoo I am probably somewhat spoilt when it comes to both animal enclosures and customer facilities and unfortunately we were not very impressed with PWP on either count. Many of the enclosures were certainly not spacious and several animals were pacing back and forth along the fence lines. This was particularly upsetting with endangered species such as the snow leopard where it would have been nice to see more stimulating environments. Equally the visitor amenities were a bit tired looking, the play areas were quite dirty and large parts of the park looked like they could do with some tlc. Such a shame as the tickets weren't cheap (practically full price for a 2 year old seems extortionate, most places offer free or heavily discounted admission for toddlers!) and didn't include parking which was an additional £3.

Paradise Wildlife Park, is a little GEM, in the heart of Hertfordshire. Had a great Sunday
there in late September. Very clean, and well appointed compared to London Zoo! Much cheaper to get in for families and staff all so friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed seeing the tigers especially after our Tea in Treetops. Two came down when most people had gone, about 4.30pm, and were playing beautifully with a giant ball.The 3 Grandchildren were so pleased to witness that.
Toilets were clean and animals looked well cared for. Go when weather isn't too hot and then you will see animals at their best.
The Xmas present we had was a lovely treat from Son ; and daughter and kids had a slightly different package. Tea was plentiful and yummy, whilst sitting up high watching through glass windows the Tigers at play. Well done to all the people working there, and that are so proud of being a part of Paradise.
Thank you lions , tigers sheep, meercats , gibbons , zebras, turtles , limas and all for entertaining us. Plus the playground areas amused kids for an hour.

You should be warned that everything inside the park costs - even the parking is £3. All the kids rides, the train, the golf etc. the list goes on all are at an extra cost. It is expensive to get in and then you spend a whole lot more inside and at this time of year some things are closed. There are no penguins, no reptile house, not sand shop an some kids rides were no open. It should be cheaper out of season.
I enjoyed the animals - although there are not that many. If you want animals go to the zoo not here. I think this park is overrated and expensive and the food in the cafes, of which only 2 were open - is limited and expensive.

I bought the animal photography day for my partner as a present and it was absolutely wonderful! He took some amazing shots and got to get up close with a lot of animals. Totally worth the price!

Had the priviledge of visiting this park in August. Car park £3 which in itself isn't a bad price but add that on to the entrance ticket n then refreshments once inside it can be a expensive day out for a family with kids. Lovely to see most of the anilmals out n about apart from the penguins who was having their home refurbed. Plenty of stuff to keep the kids occupied n fab to see that in the kids playground they even has a swing facilty for kids in wheelchairs( fab idea)

Interesting zoo with a good collection of big cats. Quite small, you can see it all in a few hours. What I found annoying was the £3 car parking charge and no mention of it when the tickets were booked online. It's not the cost it's not knowing about it until you are in the car park then you have to pay it to get out. No doubt it is mentioned somewhere on their website, but I didn't see it. It would be better if they increased the admission charges slightly and made parking free then the total cost would be transparent rather than having hidden extra costs.

When I booked the big cat experience I was unsure as to what would be included in the day, but we were not disappointed.

The experience lasted nearly five hours and Shirley, our guide, was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgable and very welcoming.

We were involved in feeding all the big cats and were up close and personal with the Tigers and Lions.

If you love big cats, this is an experience that you cannot miss out on. A once in a lifetime opportunity!

Ok for a small zoo. Bit expensive if you buy tickets on the day. Not bad for a day out. We saw all the animals in about 2-3 hrs. Had lunch there which again is expensive for what you get. Burger and chips and drink £10. And not that nice really. I don't know why these places can't offer sandwiches and hot food at reasonable prices. People would buy instead of taking a picnic. As for the zoo it looks tired and dated ,but there are loads of works going on and new walkways being built. They should also say in their website what animals will not be available that day/week. (Penguins was not there on day of visit)

I would recommend this place, amazing big cats.. I thought it was great, the drawbacks were that the reptile house and penguin pool were closed, good thing being the penguins get their new home soon. Definitely will be back for that :)

Paradise Wildlife Park is a small zoo, which focuses on big cats and activities for children. We spent three and a half hours here and we usually spend a lot of time on zoo visits.
The highlights included the big cats, where we saw a rare white Bengal Tiger, White Lions from South Africa, Snow Leopards, Jaguars and a Cheetah.
We really enjoyed both Birds of Paradise shows we saw, the trainers there did a great job.
The Red Panda feed and talk was also a highlight, as it's the only time the Pandas will become active.
The zoo definitely focuses on children and keeping them busy, We visited on 19th September and can see how the zoo is going out of season, as a lot was closed, including the crazy golf, which actually looks worn out.
As mentioned by others - £3 for parking seems to be a bit of a joke, it's not like people who are not customers would use the car park, it's in the middle of nowhere.

We have been coming to Paradise for well over 20 years! A lot has changed in that time but we love every visit even though the children are now adults lol. It's a fantastic place with keepers that love the animals and all staff are very friendly. The feed the lemurs was a 50th birthday present which I did with my daughter. It is something I will never forget. Beautiful, gentle animals that are well cared for by keeper Glen who was very knowledgeable. Some areas closed for a refurb which was a shame but we visit regularly and look forward to fetching my grandchild when she is older. Keep up your fantastic work pwp and I don't mind the prices as I know all the money goes towards maintaining this great park and animals.

Spent a very enjoyable day at Paradise Park 18th September with our 2 year old Grandaughter. I have been coming to this zoo since I was a child when it was know as Broxbourne Zoo & I along with my sister & brothers would ride our bikes from Bayford to visit the zoo. I have watched it grow into what it is today but I have to say I think it is very wrong to have to pay £3 to park your car after paying over £80 entrance fee for 4 adults & 1 child, you have no choice there is no where else to park. Before long all these wonderful places that you can take the children to will be priced out of most people's pockets & so only open to the privileged few

I attended a memorial afternoon at paradise park with family and friends some of the group had never been there before and were very impressed with the zoo and the childrens play areas one even saying she thought it was much nicer than London zoo

This was a lovely gift for my birthday.the guide was very knowledgeable. the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We arrived a bit early but this wasn't a problem. they sent us into a room where we could help our selves to hot drinks and biscuits.We were entertained by a video of the staff giving information about the centre in a fun way.the tour was very informative not boring at all. plenty of time to take photos and ask questions
followed by a continental, breakfast in the tree top cafe, a lot of food to choose from. the rest of the day was spent looking around the park. some of the enclosures were empty, but lots to do with young children although my husband and I loved it and we are in our prime :) Thank you for a lovely time.

What a wonderful day my wife and I had on sunday the 18th sept,we shadowed a big cat keeper for 5 hours doing every thing she did including hand feeding the wonderful lions,tigers and beautiful snow leopards.It was a delight from start to finish and if you don't do anything else in life DO THIS.thank you Ian and team,but a real special thanks to Shirley for making our day magical.long may you go on.Allan and Chris Mays.

Lovely place, smaller than expected !! Best place if you love big cats !! Great design so you can see the cats if they are up high with the walkways. We didn't eat there as we took our own picnic , but the prices seemed reasonable ( unlike some places) the gift shop is rather lacking !! I hope it's just because of the end of the season, rather than being normal. Toilets not great , they really need some tlc , throughout the day. Otherwise it would have been full points. We had 2 disabled people with us , so 4 tickets only cost us £36. We have a blue badge so parking was free. I wouldn't be happy if I paid full price for tickets and then had to pay for parking ???

I thoroughly enjoy visiting paradise wildlife park. We started our visit by walking around the back of the woodland train, which having spoken to one of the keepers previously, many people forget or don't realise is there, where we saw wolves, foxes and deers. The woodland was nice and the my niece and nephew enjoyed the walk and looking out for the dinosaurs (there is an option to do augmented reality too but I hadn't got much charge left so we didn't try this).

We then carried on over to the zoo. We bought two (cheap) bags of feed and visited the farmyard, where the children could feed pigs, goats and rabbits etc. We then went round to look at the big cats and enjoyed seeing white lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards etc. I thought the range of big cats they had were good for a smaller sized zoo.

The zoo is currently having work done to it so we couldn't see everything but in the past we have enjoyed seeing the wallabies (which are having their enclosure turned into a walk through enclosure I believe) and the Penguins. We spent some time watching the meerkats then walked through to the jungle area to look at the smaller primates and then walked around the hoofed creatures.

We enjoyed the reptile house and talk given there - just be prepared that it gets quite warm there. Overall, the keepers seemed very knowledgable, friendly and passionate about what they were doing.

The kids loved feeding the parakeets (for a small cost) which come down and drink nectar from little cups. Previously, we have also spent time in the soft play area, which is one of the nicest ones we have visited in a zoo.

We forgot to visit the bat house but I will come back to do that.

It is much bigger than Shepreth zoo, which is one of our nearest zoos but you have to remember that as a smaller zoo, they won't have elephants and giraffes as it wouldn't be fair to keep them without much roaming space. However we happily spent a long day there and didn't run out of things to do.

We do always take a picnic though as I think the food is fairly expensive, especially for the quality, but there is an ice cream stand so we had that after our lunch.

So much to see and do and you can keep the kids entertained all day. We took our 2 year old son and he love every minute of it. Some bits look a bit dated but there was work to improve certain areas.

Food and drink throughout but I would recommend taking a packed lunch of snacks as the food is quite pricy. Overall a great day out and will definitely go back.

My daughter loves loves loves all the 'big cats' so for her 18th we decided to get her 'Feed a big cat' experience. We decided on the Snow Leopards and Champagne Breakfast for her and her partner. We are so glad we did this as it was brilliant. We arrived at 8.30 am to be given a much appreciated cup of coffee (September cold morning!) and their keeper Aaron took them around all the big cat enclosures telling them all about the animals & the history of the zoo etc, he was a very knowledge chap! As it was early morning, quiet and the animals were waiting for brekkie they were all outside so you can get right up close to them all. Then they got to the Snow Leopards and got to feed them out of their hands. It was fantastic. As the zoo opening hours were 10.30 they pretty much got to wander round with the zoo to themselves. Their Champagne breakfast was lovely. Situated in the tree tops, a private function room over looking the Tigers, they had a bottle of Champagne between them, cereal, toast, pastries, cold meats, cheeses etc, fruit juices. You name it, it was there. They had as much time as they needed. Then had the whole day to wander round the zoo again.
The zoo itself was clean, all animals looked fit & heathy and all staff were friendly, said 'hello' whenever you passed one of them. The restaurant was your usual stuff ( bit pricey but where isn't these days) Some of the enclosures were being refurbed so didn't get to see a couple of things but didn't spoil the day.
If traveling by car it's £2.50 or £3.00 parking. ( can't remember which amount)
All in all, great day, fab experience. Feeding the Snow Leopards is something, I think, you will never forget, highly recommend it.
