Great day out, so much to do. My son hasnt stopped talking about it

We've done many keeper days and other animal experiences in many countries and I have to say this was the most organised/professional one we've ever done!

We started off at the Discovery centre where we were given a hot drink and biscuits.

Our first keeper for the day (Matt) came to pick us up exactly at 9am and took us to the alpacas. This is where we did our only actual work of the day (clearing out the alpaca enclosure). We only did this for about 20 mins and the rest of the day was all play and no work!

Matt, like all the keepers we met was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and clearly trained in the art of taking to the public.

We've been in many days like this where the keepers clearly get no training and are a bit awkward or uncomfortable taking to strangers.

After this we met Amy who took us to the reptile house. She took us round and told us about all the animals then we went into the back room to meet a very cute turtle.

Then we met Sam who took us to the birds. We got to fly an owl and hand feed it which was great fun.

After we watched the bird show (which was only 15 mins long but very good) we were taken into the lorikeet house to feed them which was very entertaining!

Then we met Tom who we helped collect some animals for the animal antics show. We helped get rats and a ferret. Then we watched the animal antics show which was entertaining although felt a bit dated/cheesy and not quite as professional as the bird show.

Then we met Emily who took us to see the small mammals. By far the most fun part of the day!

We got to see the raccoons being trained and then we got to feed them (through the bars but they reach out their little cute hands through the bars to take the food from your hands!)

Then we put food around for the otters (unfortunately too dangerous to hand feed) and then got a front row seat when they were let out to eat.

She then took us to a back room where we saw a tenrec (which didn't want to come out to play unfortunately but no animals are forced out if they don't want to which is nice)

We also saw the amazingly cute sugar gliders.

Onto James. He took us to the squirrel monkey enclosure where we hid food everywhere for them. Then we watched while they ate.

Then we spent a long time (in a good way!) feeding the lemurs. They're so friendly and jump all over you. They take food from your hands and although we've feed lemurs many times it's still just as fun each time we do it!

Ashleigh then took us round the farm and talked about all the animals there.

Finally we met Tom who took us in to feed the tapirs. While he did the talk to the public we stroked the tapirs and watched them eat.

The day included breakfast and lunch (I think the vouchers should have been given to us when we checked in but we had to go back for them) which included food from their various places. However it wasn't entirely clear what was or wasn't allowed although we did eat plenty.

(Although the food service at the Sam's diner was very slow and not the best food in the world)

Even though some of the keepers that showed us round were interns they all came across very well and whatever training is done here need to be rolled out to other zoos doing these experiences.

The whole day was planned very well and every time we finished with one keeper, the next one was ready for us.

Overall an amazing day and we would highly recommend this to anyone. We will do this again in the future!

Lots to do and see, great day out for the kids, the park and inclosers are clean and well kept but there was a lot of animals missing, lots of looking at empty cages! Staff were incredibly helpful and polite, just don't skip the que to look at people dressed as dinosaurs they the staff literally block your kids and view even tho they stand in the middle of a playground or seating areas it's a privilege for people that pay only

I had read mixed reviews about the paradise wildlife park.
I bought the tiger tea experience for us. Not many dates available so had to book well in advance.
Despite the 3 hour journey to the park we had a great day!
The world of dinosaurs was fun. Then the went onto the Big Cats tour. This was so interesting. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. We have never been that close to lions and tigers. Also saw leopard, cheetah and Jaguars.
The tour ended with a buffet of sandwiches, drinks and cakes. All very tasty, good choice and you could have as much as you want. Were not stale as some had experienced. We sat at the table next to the window, so had full view of the Tigers enclosure. We also saw the Tigers feed.
We also saw Monkeys, meerkats, zebra, tapir, penguins and camels.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day! Booked through Buy a gift! Highly Recommend it!!

at my age birthday surprise packages can be more alarming than exciting but this surprise was beyond my wildest imaginings. the park was intimate, the animals happy and well cared for but the icing on the cake was my rain forest experience where i went to feed and interact with sloths, pygmy monkeys and a scuttling and delightful armadillo. a treat for sloth lovers everywhere.

I have a 2 year old son who is bisotted with dinosaurs. The dinosaur park is fantastic and any child who loves dinosaurs needs to come here. The dinosaurs are animatronic and loud! I wish it was closer to where I lived because I would be having my son's birthday part here!

There are animals here to and they are all close enough to see them no matter what time of day you go there.. the only thing I think about them is the enclosures are too small, especially for the big cats. The lion literally paces up and down. This makes me sad.

The whole park is do-able in one day and the food etc. there is realtively well priced.

The one thing that is a bit of a rip off is the train that goes around the dinsousar park. £2 per person and it literally goes in a circle

We had an absolutely fab day out. A full day at that! Had gone for a family day out and also as I had arranged the Rainforest experience for my wife. The whole day was flawless. Staff are brilliant and friendly and knowledgeable. Animals and all the enclosures looked well kept. Seeing the snow leopards and white lions was amazing. The bird flight display was also a high point. The cafe was good with a nice selection and decent offer for the very competitive prices. Didn't get around it all but we will be back soon as enoyjed it so much!

Worth a visit just for the dinosaurs. The rest of the park, whilst good, is starting to look tired. But there did seem to be some projects running so may be they have this in hand. If you plan on buying food there pay attention to what food stalls sells what, this is clearly displayed but we didnt pay attention and we were in the wrong end of the park for sandwiches and kid's weren't too impressed having to walk past a pizza stall and a burger stall. All in all a great day out.

The Red Pandas here are really worth seeing but avoid the Safari Diner, overpriced microwaved uncooked burgers.
