Today I went groundhopping at Hertingfordbury Park, where I saw Royston Town win 6-0 against Hertford Town in a pre-season friendly.

The ground itself looks fairly old fashioned, the main stand looks unique and there being a decent view from the terrace behind the goal.

The staff at Hertford Town were friendly and helpful, as it always is great to see non-league clubs having a dedicated group of volunteers.

Conveniently the town centre is only a 15 minute walk from the ground, and can only guess the nearest train station is at a similar distance too.

I would definitely come to visit Hertingfordbury Park again!

Old fashioned in parts although a new plastic pitch, pitch fencing and floodlights have been installed. Spectator facilities are adequate for the level. Parking limited. Very friendly and cheerful volunteers. I enjoyed it, it is an unlikely semi rural setting with a railway viaduct behind one end.

A lovely old ground full of character. It does benefit from a 3g pitch. On my 1at visit i paid just £8 entry and £2 for an decent programme. I also saw an excellent game of football. Very skillful/exciting/good goals. Thorouhhly recommend leaving your TV footy and support some real and local football.

Hertford town fc was as l remembered it from the mid 70's but have a fantastic new pitch. This can only be good for the progress of the club going forward. Great result beat Waltham Abbey 2.1 the team have a lot of promising youngsters who their manager Ben Herd is playing in a tough league. So good luck to them.
They had a crowd around 330 .
