Apart from the normal brushing your teeth most of us are guilty of not looking after our teeth and mouth properly.
Follow the tips below, which have been provided by The Whitehouse Dental Practice for cleaner healthier teeth and mouth.
1 - Brush teeth twice daily, floss and use a mouthwash like Listerine Total Care. Use daily for a month to prevent bacteria in the mouth becoming resistant.
2 - Check your mouth daily to ensure no infections are present or any lumps/swellings, red or white patches. See your doctor or dentist as soon as possible if it is not gone after 3 days.
3 - Drink lots of water and keep fizzy drinks and fruit juices to a minimum or drink through a straw.
4 - Eat 3-4 regular meals. When you snack, try to have savoury ones or eat fresh fruit.
5 - Rinse your mouth regularly and eat sweet foods with meals.
6 - Visit a dentist every 6 months.
So there you have it. Everyone should now have cleaner teeth and mouths.
