I was recently sitting in Starbucks, having a quick coffee before the day started afresh, when I saw a car driving past with the bumper hanging off the back with what must be a roll of gaffa tape fighting a losing battle to keep it attached.
It made me smile, until I heard a bang. Like many others I shot outside to see what had happened. Lo and behold the gaffa tape had finally lost. The driver seemed not to have noticed and was happily driving away in the firm belief his car was working great.
It made me thankful that when I go with my Dad to take our beaten up, (and heaven knows how old) Mercedes to Tony Purslow that they spot that kind of thing before it gets quite that bad!
