Here at thebestof Guernsey we held our first ever speed networking event this month as part of Startup Guernsey's Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017, held at the Digital Greenhouse.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is an initiative which has helped over 50million people unleash their ideas globally. Locally this is the tenth year that Startup Guernsey has organised a packed week of events and workshops designed to assist local entrepreneurs and businesses. StartUp Guernsey invited thebestof Guernsey to host a speed networking session to kick off this week of events, launching Global Entrepreneurship Week locally with a great opportunity for a diverse selection of Guernsey businesses and entrepreneurs to connect with each other.
Speed networking is a great new concept which allows attendees the opportunity to meet with each other and exchange details and ideas. Being able to connect with so many people from a variety of businesses in such a short time is so beneficial to any business, new or old, and can lead to many new opportunities for close cooperation and profitable partnerships.
Sixteen local businesses and charities attended our speed networking session. In the words of attendee Anni B: "I attended a recent speed networking event with thebestof Guernsey. The event was very well organised and it was interesting meeting so many people from different industries. Let me know when the next one is."
