Summer just wouldn't be summer in Guernsey without the annual local shows and the organisers of each are hoping for bigger and better than ever before for 2010.
They shows are steeped in history and are now visited by thousands of locals and visitors to the island. Each show is unique and guarantees a fun filled day for all the family.
So when are the shows?
The South Show - Friday 13th & Saturday 14th August 2010
The West Show - Wednesday 18th & Thursday 19th August 2010
The North Show - Wednesday 25th & Thursday 26th August 2010
The South Show kicks them off and is being held in the St Martin's Community Centre on Friday 13th August (10am to 9pm) and Saturday 14th August (10am to 7pm).

The West Show is being held at L'Eree Old Aerodrome on Wednesday 18th August and Thursday 19th August.
The West Show is Guernsey's premier agricultural and horticultural show and is a traditional country show with many modern aspects and a varied mix of entertainment.

The North Show & Battle of Flowers is being held at Saumarez Park on Wednesday 25th & Thursday 26th August starting at 9am daily.
The North Show promises lots of family entertainment including:

"Battle of Flowers"
(where teams compete for the prestigious 'Prix D'Honneur' trophy for best mobile floral float).
