The Best of Guernsey is all about positivity - why we love Guernsey and what local people love about local businesses. So when ‘Love Guernsey’ was launched by Visit Guernsey earlier this month we were very keen to help support this great campaign.
www.loveguernsey.net is a new website launched to accumulate a collection of thoughts, tips, ideas, insights and inspiration by the people that know it, and love it best!
Since its launch it has featured many local people and visitors to the island happy to shout about why they love Guernsey:
Andy Priaulx believes ‘home is where the heart is’. “There is nowhere else on this earth I would rather be. I have persuaded many friends to visit and I can proudly say they have all done what I have done, fallen in love with it.”
Richard Lord from Sustainable Guernsey raves about how the Saumarez Manor Saturday Farmer’s Market is a ‘feast for the eyes’ and “provides a wonderful opportunity to greet friends and find out their latest news. The market is popular with island visitors who share their appreciation for the community spirit these events evoke.”
And now The Best of Guernsey’s very own Kate Heywood has added her thoughts on her island home saying , ‘What’s not to love about Guernsey?’ “The sense of community in Guernsey never fails to inspire me. Our people are helpful, friendly, caring and generous."
There is also a ‘Guernsey Bloggers’ section on the website featuring several local bloggers from bird enthusiasts to crafters. Plus The Best of Guernsey Blog, (where we regularly post informative, relevant and interesting posts of interest to local people) also gets a mention.
