During Make a Will Fortnight (10th - 22nd September) local solicitor firms across Phyllis Tuckwell’s catchment area have agreed to waive their normal Will writing fee for a professional consultation and a new or updated will, in return for a suggested donation.
When writing your Will, of course your loved ones will come first. Once everyone else has been provided for, Phyllis Tuckwell hopes that you might also consider leaving a legacy donation. Apart from helping the charity to continue providing care to people facing a serious progressive illness, such as cancer, legacies are also a very tax-efficient way of giving, as they are exempt from Inheritance Tax.
All of the care which Phyllis Tuckwell provides is given free of charge, yet the NHS/Government only covers a small amount of the charity’s costs, which means it has to raise £20,000 a day to be able to provide all of its services. Legacies fund over 20% of the charity’s patient care - so you can see how Phyllis Tuckwell benefits hugely from gifts in Wills - whatever their value - from thoughtful and caring people who have made provision for their own families and then made a gift to charity.
If you would like to make the most of this offer, simply Click Here for the list of participating solicitors and their contact details, and get in touch with one. Each solicitor will be offering limited free Wills, so make sure you call as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
