Local Hospice Care charity Phyllis Tuckwell has recently received a cheque for £800 from Pulse Football Academy, who raised the money by recording their very own version of the hit Band Aid song Do They Know It’s Christmas? The students, teachers and coaches all got involved, taking it in turns to sing a verse or two together, with some even taking centre stage for a solo!

“We would like to thank everyone at Pulse Football Academy for creating this brilliant video, and to all their friends, families and supporters who donated so generously to our cause,” said Samantha West, Community Fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell. “£800 could pay for a week’s care from one of our highly qualified physiotherapists, whose expert support and advice can help to increase patients’ mobility and muscle strength, reduce pain and stiffness, and improve their independence, so that they can live their lives as fully as possible.”

“We are so proud of everyone at Pulse who was involved in raising money for Phyllis Tuckwell this Christmas”, said Paul Harkness from Pulse Football Academy. “The students and staff had so much fun making the production, and we must thank John Peddie at JProductions who produced it so professionally. We would also like to thank everyone who gave so generously and supported such a great cause that gives so much to the local community. It’s going to be tough to follow this with a new production next Christmas!”
