Then get on board for an adrenaline-packed day out on the ocean waves!

Local Hospice Care charity Phyllis Tuckwell has secured the use of thirty racing yachts for a day’s racing, out of Port Solent in Hampshire. This Corporate Sailing Regatta will take place on Wednesday 25th May, and there’ll be no mistaking you! Each yacht can be branded with your company colours, from flags, to banners, to boat graphics, enabling you to fly your company flag – literally!

Each of these 40ft yachts will have its own professional Skipper and First Mate, so no sailing experience is required, although they’ll be happy to take a back seat for the more experienced crews.

The day will start with a breakfast reception, after which the crews will board their yachts for the day’s racing. A light lunch on board will ensure energy levels are kept topped up, and the day will end with a BBQ and networking opportunity in the club house back at Port Solent, where prizes will be presented by Tracy Edwards MBE, skipper of the first all-female crew to sail around the world when Maiden raced in the 1989/90 Whitbread Round the World Race.

Organised by the experienced worldwide charter company Sunsail, who hold many corporate regattas every year, this is an event not to be missed for any growing business. Thank staff and customers – and get your brand seen – at the same time as showing your support for this local vital charity.

Every day Phyllis Tuckwell supports over 250 patients and relatives who are facing a terminal illness, such as cancer, providing medical care, nursing, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support. However, as the NHS/Government only covers 20% of its costs, it has to raise over £15,000 a day to be able to offer all of these services. It therefore relies heavily on the generosity of local individuals and businesses, who can show their support by taking part in organised fundraising events such as this.

So book a yacht and bring your crew, or secure yourself a single spot and we’ll team you up with other like-minded individuals on the day. Please click here to see the menu for the evening BBQ at the end of the Sailing Regatta. For anyone who is already signed up and would like their friends or family to join them at the evening BBQ for dinner, this will incur an additional fee of £42pp. To find out more see the Corporate Partnerships webpage or book your place, call Paul Pearson or Georgi Robinson-Welch on 01252 729462 or emailcorporate@pth.org.uk
