Couples wanting to divorce will drop in 2011

January has gained the unenviable reputation as being known as “Divorce Month.”

An equally unwelcome accolade goes to the first working day after the festive break, which has been dubbed within the legal profession as “D-Day”

However, according to online divorce company – divorce-online.co.uk – the number of couples wanting divorces will drop in 2011.

At the heart of this prediction is the financial instability created by the government’s austerity package recently announced. As a consequence couples will stay together and try to ride out the financial uncertainty together.

In addition, the continuing uncertainty in the housing market is contributing to the decrease as people are unable to sell their houses and release equity for their settlements which is preventing them from filing their divorce cases.

So, maybe a glimmer of hope for a buck in the recent increasing trends for divorce and separation.

But, sadly, divorce remains a twenty first century everyday occurrence here in the UK and indeed across the world.

And, with divorce proceedings comes the need for professional and impartial legal advice. If you know of anyone requiring legal advice (not just for divorce cases!) then look  here for more information.
