Phyllis Tuckwell is delighted to have received over £500 from the raffle of a hamper, which was donated by local accountant firm Branston Adams Accountants and Business Advisors, a company which has been a supporter of the Hospice for many years now.

The hamper was raffled at a launch party held at Farnham Castle to announce the strategic alliance of Farnham-based companies BakerLaw and Fish Financial. Over 160 local connections attended the party, which took place on 12th February.

BakerLaw solicitors, Fish Financial and Branston Adams accountants are all long-term supporters of the Hospice, which offers specialist end of life care to patients and their families across West Surrey and North East Hampshire. The Hospice needs to raise over £15,000 a day to provide this care, and relies heavily on the support of local companies and individuals to be able to do this.

“We were delighted to see so many clients, local businesses and contacts supporting the launch,” said Amanda Glover, Managing Partner of BakerLaw.  “We were also pleased to be able to welcome Madam Deputy Mayor and Penny Power OBE, and thank them for their support and for taking time out of their busy diaries to attend. Our thanks also go to Branston Adams for kindly donating the hamper for the raffle.”

BakerLaw has supported Phyllis Tuckwell for many years now and continues to do so, as do Fish Financial and Branston Adams, through staff initiatives and fundraising. BakerLaw also offer their services for free during the Hospice’s promotion of Make a Will Fortnight each September.

“It’s fantastic to see local businesses and staff supporting a local charity,” said Phyllis Tuckwell’s Corporate Fundraiser, Georgi Robinson-Welch. “We are hugely grateful to all three companies for their ongoing commitment to the Hospice.”
