Alison Duguid, Kidsfest Committee Member, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Dan will be able to join us at Kidsfest this September. He is a great ambassador for the festival, and we feel that his indomitable spirit, sense of adventure, love of the outdoors and fabulous humour sum up the true nature of Kidsfest.”

At just four years old Dan started his acting career, and his many varied roles since then have included the inimitable role of Ben in Outnumbered - a series recognised as one of the UK's best situation comedies winning award after award. The young actor has also enjoyed critically acclaimed roles as the young Stephen Fry a in Little Crackers on Sky 1, as William Brown in BBC1’s new Emmy-Award nominated production of Just William, and in his professional theatre debut at the Finborough Theatre.

At Kidsfest Dan will be joining festival-goers in trying out the brilliant and crazy activities which only children could think up - from the ‘world-famous’ custard slide, the jelly welly obstacle course and nitrogen icecream to punk choir, joke workshops and foot wrestling. Children will find themselves trying to beat the ‘eating chopsticks with smarties’ world record one moment, and burning off energy in an ‘immense zombie game’ in the next.  If the grown-ups ask nicely, the kids might even let them join in…!

The little festival with a big heart, which takes place on the 30-acre meadow in Farnham, is racing against time to raise funds to save Farnham’s local Bishop’s Meadow from development. All profits from the festival will go to The Bishop’s Meadow Trust, which has been formed to raise the money to save the meadow for future generations of children. The Kidsfest Junior Committee, assisted by adults from the local committee led by Kidsfest Co-ordinator Alex Scrivens, have been working hard throughout 2011 to bring their dream fundraising festival plan to fruition.

Tickets are now on sale for Kidsfest which takes place on the Bishop’s Meadow in Farnham, on the Surrey/Hampshire border (book online www.kidsfestuk.org.uk - £7.25 per day ticket which includes all activities; under-5s go free; booking fee applies; you can also book in person at Archie’s Launchpad, Carlino Kids and Curves in Farnham).
