Based on Exeter’s St David’s Hill, yet working across Devon in areas including South Molton, Exmouth and of course Exeter, YMCA provides a wide range of services for disadvantaged people.

As well as supported accommodation for young people who have found themselves homeless yet are committed to making a fresh start, YMCA also run Community Job Clubs in Wonford and St Sidwell’s, rehabilitation courses for offenders in HMP Exeter and youth education programmes with ISCA Academy.

‘YMCA Exeter is one of Devon’s best kept secrets!’ says Chief Executive Peter Stephenson. ‘Most people know we exist, but few have any idea the breadth and depth of the work we do to help people, particularly young people, to transform their lives and communities. Our annual Open Day aims to help local people understand what we do and to feel the passion we have for our work. It also gives opportunity for young people living in our housing projects the chance to tell their stories – I challenge anyone not to be moved by their courage and resilience’.

There are two sessions on the Open Day you are welcome to join - 12pm -2pm and 6pm-7:30pm. You will get the opportunity to meet with staff and residents, hearing stories of transformation and discovering creative ways you can be involved. A buffet will also be served at both.

YMCA Exeter is on 39/41 St David’s Hill, Exeter, EX4 4DA.

Please RSVP to bethan.spencer@ymcaexeter.org.uk or alternatively ring 01392 410530.
